I don't really enjoy the chiropodist, I have to go as nails have thickened and they have to be filed and thinned and trimmed and it can be a bit painful sometimes. But feet feel good afterwards.

I go to Clarence Street but he hasn't got your name., there is another one in the same building mind, don't know what te name is.

Looks like a nicce morning here, if a little overcast. The garden beckons I think - so much to do isn't there?

Hope you aren't overdoing anything Daffers - softly softly should be the approach and keep away from them Mexicans - dont even eat an enchillada!

BC ... how is your dog now, ours is finding it difficult with our new laminate flooring....bless him, he pulled a muscle last week, abit more used to it now, but we need rugs!!

Afternoon Daffers and all other gardeners on here!


Just a quick warning!!!! Lily Beetles about! just caught a little begger on a Himalayan Lily - needless to say it is "no more" - although it's last meal looked pretty substantial!((((

For those who dont know them - they are bright red so easy to spot and it's "poo" is little black bits on the leaves (what's left of 'em that is!).

Today I have found 2 dead snails, l large dying black slug and I Lily Beetle! Crikey, I sound like the Exterminator!!


Be warned - this mild spring is bringing the blighters out in hoards!

Just a quick look in to see how you are! I hope your hip is improving and
that you are not overdoing things.

Weather's not too good here either, Ann. Although, it's just starting to look
as though it's trying to brighten up! We should be so lucky!

Afternoon al... I am all excited.. R has just gone to pick up son and granddaughter from the station... train is on time and gets in at 16.34... so another half hour, allowing for traffic, and they will be here.

I have spent the day getting in R's way, lol!! He has been doing all the *heavy* stuff, and the idea was I scoot around him and do the *frilly* bits.... but of course, you have to interfere don't you? I mean........ I can't help it.. especially when you see super-king sized duvet cover going on king sized quilt.... he did it the other way around the other week, lololol...

Then... there was no room in the drawers in our room for our stuff... we have overspilled into the room they are sleeping in.... so I sorted drawers out... got another pile for the charity shop, and loads in the bin, and now there is lots of room... but it's ok, I sat down for most of that! lol I am taking it easy, I promise... fortunately, if I do too much, the tiredness tends to sweep over in a wave... one minute fine, the next mulmph (I hope that sounds like a clockwork soldier running out of clockwork, lol)

Well, must go.... must pace the floor, lolol!!

Well, I've stirred the spagh bol (son's favourite) put a couple more beers in the fridge...... I have non-alcoholic wine after the other night, lol.. plumped up some cushions... moved a couple of ornaments, and am now back here. Bit like watching the kettle boil, isn't it?? Only better of course!!

I am sure you will have a lovely time with your family, Daff, and enjoy every minute. I am still recovering from my activities and feeling my age...almost:-) lol....Cloudy greyish day here, but the flowers are bursting out...and I think I spotted the lily eater Jac was talking about...well something was chomping away at the only two lilies I have in my patio...will have to get some killer stuff tomorrow.

Jude, thanks for asking, my dog has recovered from her (expensive) trauma! but is limping a bit when she gets up to go walkies, but then so do I until I get into my stride so that's ok:-)..I give her cod liver oil...yuk..but she loves it....

Ann, hope your sniffles have gone, when are you off for your holiday?

Sniffles don't seem to have developed, think it is just hay fever. Thanks for asking! We go Saturday and, although the spare room is covered in stuff I haven't packed anything in a case yet. Will be one mad panic tomorrow!!

thanks Jude, I am sure we will once we get there, just hate the travelling and have a feeling it may be more stressful than ever if people are paranoid about the swine flu, we have to go through Heathrow and Madrid airports.
