Sheila so sorry about your SIL, Your daughter must be feeling awful. just when things were getting better for you & your family.

Liz It's me who has gone down to a size 8, hopefully won't be long and I'll put on a bit of weight again.

Jane, I am feeling better , not getting the acid reflux at all but sometimes I still feel as though theres a lump sitting right under my ribs as though something is stuck and has not been digested properly.
OH say's give it a few more weeks before I go to the doctors he thinks it's just stress thats causing the blockage because of all the worry I have had.

Just finished watching the last episode of Edwardian Farm. going to miss it ,I really have looked forward to seeing each episode every week.
Hope the team come back with something else.

Well I'm off to bed with my book.
will be back tomorrow
night night

Good morning
I was the last one to say goodnight and I'm the first to say good morning.

all white with frost here this morning , looks cold again. not going out today , just spend some time doing a bit of kitchen cleaning, just notice the cooker needs doing and cupboards need rearranging.
so it's time for breakfast and that important cup of coffee before I start.

Thanks Ann for the pics , great one of the stag and the penny farthing, OH wants a new bike , somehow I don't think he would go the distance on a penny farthing which he does now ,not all that good for going over all our scottish moors lol

Morning All,

A very thick frost here this morning, but the sun is out. OH left very early for his training today........just like the old days when he worked. Now I have a day to do as I like, but without lots of questions!!!!!! lol, lol. I must sound like a mum who is ready for the children to go back to school!!

I hadn't noticed that spike for getting on......and maybe off the penny farthing Mel/Mandy. Didn't know they had no brakes either!! What did strike me was that if you had short legs like me you wouldn't reach the pedals!!!!! OH got a closer look at the chap riding it and said he was well into his 60s. What fun!!!!

Off to the shops now, then maybe a short walk around the park land at the hall. Lots of people take their dogs there and it is nice to see them all having the time of their lives.

Hi Fiona, no not good for the scottish moors as you say. I also thought how bumpy they would be on the old cobbled streets. I wonder how many people had one in their heyday?

Does your OH do a lot of off road biking then?

Fiona, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to sound frivolous about 'someone' being size 8. I know what stress you've been under and I would certainly never set out to underestimate that. I hope you do put on some weight as you must be very thin! Like you, at times of stress, I get indigestion, and the feeling of a lump in my throat; I've had this on and off for years, no weight loss (in my case sadly!) and it always re-appears with the current phase of stress!! so I think that like me, your's will disappear as you feel more relaxed. Oh dear, Sheila, your family does seem to be in turmoil, I hope things improve for you soon. Have got someone (friend of OH's) coming to lunch today so have got to make some soup, and be hospitable!!!!

Morning All,

Frosty and bright again today. When I went into the lounge last night for something and had'nt turned the light on, on the ceiling was a reflection of the pond water all rippling. The moon was shining on the water and reflected in the lounge on the ceiling. It was quite lovely.

Sheila so sorry to hear of your latest upset with Mos leaving. What a silly boy to go after all the trouble you went through to get him to stay in this country. You must feel awful but be assured we are all here for you.

I was sad to see the last episode of Edwardian Farm yesterday as it was the highlight of my week. I had set our replay box to tape them all so I could see them again when there was nothing on the telly but the blimmin thing has gone wrong AGAIN. So no Edwardian Farm or Lark Rise being taped now.

Washing machine nearly finished so must get that on the line.

By the way I wondered whether my washing would be Freeze Dried yesterday morning but it was just still wet!!

10.35am.

Morning all
I was just coming to the end of my first post of the day and it vanished as I was still typing.Arrrgh!
As I was saying Fiona I am sure your 'lump' will soon disappear.I had that feeling with all the trouble I had with my best friend after her husband left her,and then her dying, and then the worry of her children(especially the daughter).I even went for a Barium Meal just to rule out anything. It was put down to STRESS and it did eventually go.It is a horrible feeling.Mine was the throat.
A grey day today and fairly chilly. There are so many things that need doing, but I don't fancy doing any of them lol.Shall I have a coffee while I think about it???

Chris is now home for the rest of the day.Getting under my feet no doubt lol.Actually he says he has lots to do so that's ok.

Yes I wonder where our Frank is.Hope all is well.

11.56am

Spent two hours sitting around the Hospital, by the time we saw the specialist and came out the reception was closed and nobody was around, very strange not seeing anyone in a massive department.
She has to go in for a small operation 31/1/11. Should be a day job. Will have to get someone to take her and bring her back. Thats the bugbear of not being able to drive.
Have bought Ros a Detox foot spa, they are suppose to be good for a lot of ailments, Does anybody have any experience of them ??? We thought with her diabitis it would help.

Ann it must be wonderful for OH to get out across the moors. on his bike. away from all the worries of life.

Everything seems to be going wrong for you SHELIA. it can only get better.

Hope the small op goes ok and you know we will all be sending positive thoughts on that day.

Hi Liz, Don't worry, no offence taken.
people keep telling I don't look as bad as I think I look because I am only 4' 11. it's quite nice to have lost a bit of my tummy but sob sob!!! lost some of my chest, now thats is sad. lol.

suns out and the frost on the lawn is melting.

yes Jane have managed to eat a lot better these days. but have decided to give tomorrow night 's meal out with friends a miss as they meet up at 8pm and I am finding if I eat a proper dinner after 8pm ,I feel bloated and so uncomfortable can't settle to sleep at night, so will wait till next months get together and then join them. Don't want to push things. it's not as though I don't see them for ages, as we meet up every week for coffe and at church.

Fiona, It just goes to show how stress upsets our bodies. A lot of woman would give there right arm to loose weight, but not with the after effects that you are encountering'

Thanks for your concern Mel/Jane. you know your little Frankie will try to take care of himself.!!!! I was posting, but got called away, thats why I missed your postings.

Bright sunshine, with frost, now rain and sunshine, whats happening to the weather,

I have 14 watchers on my chicken coup. So hope I get some decent bids.

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 20 Jan 2011 12:52

What did you put it all up for at the time??

LilyL

LilyL Report 20 Jan 2011 12:55

Hi Fiona, I was viewing size 8 from my own perspective, I'm, 5ft 7", so for me that would be truly sticklike!!! for you at 4ft 11" it would be much more comely!! I'm afraid my tum and chest look a bit 'bloblike'!!! I need to lose weight asap, so, I made a start this morning as it is so nice and sunny, and OH is tied up with 'friend' I took Millie a LONG walk!!! She's exhausted, I feel quite bit better, but not much thinner! early days!! Frank, I do hope that the op will help Ros, at least you must feel that you are beginning to get somewhere! these things can be such a battle. My SIL is seeing a Specialist about his Sciatica next week. He, SIL,had a bad Motorbike accident 15 odd years ago and had to have a metal plate in his leg, and he still had 'hells delight' trying to persuade the GP that his problems could be connected with the accident. It can be very wearing!!!!

Annx Report 20 Jan 2011 13:05

Hope Ros's op helps Frank......good that she will be home the same day. It must be a pain not being able to drive when you know how to!! Sounds promising on your chicken coop.

Was thinking the same this morning about the washing Jane........and all the dust on the skirting boards now the sun is shining on it!! I feel more like going out now it is sunny, but my legs are a bit stiff after yesterday's walk.
