Morning All,

Tipping it down with rain here........done the shopping and staying in now. OH is welcome to his trip north in this weather......but even he is thinking the match may be cancelled. lol Still he has another local one lined up if it is!! What is he like, eh! Last night we were watching a recording of the Dog Whisperer and do you know what the cheeky so and so said........he was waiting for them to bring out the Wife Whisperer!!!!!! lol

A pity Frank, but it's a good opportunity for some breathing space and a change if that is what's needed. Would you be able to keep in touch.......you know how we worry?

Hi All
I have not been all that great over the weekend. felt rotten on Friday. after I came back from the shops Ached all over and had a really funny head, everytime I moved my head to the side my brain seemed to follow seconds after,( really light headed) so spent most of Saturday & sunday in bed, I felt as though I had the flu without the cold symptons. I'm up today but still feel weak and very tired.

Sorry Mandy that you were taken ill and had to go to hospital, hope you are felling better.

Glad your mum is improving Jess, better not take chances with the chicken pox, especially with being pregnant

Jane , I only call my girls no1 & 2 daughters on GR, usually it's my eldest & my youngest when I'm talking to anybody else.

It's snowing here now quite heavely, glad I'm not going out today.
at least I have not lost my appetite, off to get my lunch.

Fiona,sorry you have been feeling off colour.I love your description of your brain following your head a couple of seconds later lol.I know exactly what you mean.So more snow for you!Fingers crossed it won't be too much and won't stay for long.
I think you would love Barcelona if you choose to go.It is a lovely city and you have the beach too.I would definitely go again.The only thing I had an issue with was the number of beggars and pickpockets in one particular area.But sadly this is so common in all the cities nowadays.

OH says there's only one problem when taking me on holiday to Barcelona. I will probably NOT want to come home as you say it is a lovely city. I said if he could transport Sofia there too, I might decide to stay longer. Jane I would really miss her if I didn't see her for more than a week.
Daughter no1 & SIL decided to take the sissors to Sofia's fringe on Saturday. says it was in her eyes and she wouldn't keep a hair slide in , I saw it yesterday , but didn't dare make a comment, just smiled , it looked up & down because Sofia would not sit still lol
Never mind it will grow again. did say to daughter on the quiet, maybe the hairdresses next time????

I enjoyed South Riding too Mel.........looks like the mother isn't dead after all!! Looking forward to the next episode.

I wonder how Mandy is today? A bad chest infection can lay you low for quite a while. I hope she soon feels a bit better.

Well I am having one of those days where you think you will get on with lots, but then don't!! lol I have hoovered through, cleaned the microwave and kitchen tops though.

OH had a bit of an argument with the new newsagent this morning. They tried to overcharge him. He prepays and gets discounted weekly vouchers for the cost of the paper from the newspaper company, but the newsagent wanted to charge him extra as the price of the paper has gone up. He just wouldn't have it that the newspaper company would reimburse him the increased cost, even though the same system has worked for many years. OH had to refuse point blank to pay the extra to him and say he would be looking to cancel if there was going to be this trouble. The newsagent just said that was his choice, but OH rounded on him and said it would be a lot of people's choice if he carried on like that and where would his business be if everyone cancelled.....no answer!! We are changing to the other newsagent in the village!!!

Afternoon all, late as usual.

Laid awake half the night, I wonder why. Didn't wake till 10.30 when a cup of tea and a bacon sandwhich appeared on the bedside cabinet. With Lewis behind with my morning tablets.

He decided he wanted to go swimming, so by the time I got washed and shaved and got ready it was passed 11.30. He had a good two hours in the pool. When it was time to come out Ros went with him to the changing area. I went for a Pee and went in there to see how long they would be. A bloddy woman came by and accused me of being a PERVERT. standing watching all the children. I went absolutey berserk. I threatened to rip her head and called her some right names. Ros came out with Lewis and we went to the coffee area. I wanted to wait till this MOO came out. I was going to call the police, and have her charged with false aquation, but Ros wouldn't let me I hope I meet up with her again, she will wish she hadn't been born.

Apart from that I've had a great day !!!! Better than some of you, I can see.

The rain has been falling here since I got up this morning, and it don't look like it's going to get any better tonight.

I think people are so wary these days with everything that has been in the news lately.I think she was wrong to accuse you of being a pervert though.She could have dealt with her concern in a different way.

Hi I have been having a clearout of a kitchen cupboard. I just can't make up my mind what to chuck out. I am going to get rid of some of mums glass plates I think. I never seem to use them.

Poor Mandy must be bad not to have posted again today. Hope she gets better soon.

It's been quite a nice day here, a bit of a shower this morning and then it brightened up a bit and has felt quite warm. No cold wind.

I actually saw last weeks Marchlands last night on the BT box as OH has got it going again. I think he only did it because he is out on a Wednesday now, ringing, and he likes to watch Master Chef. He said he did it for me though!! Anyway I am happy now as I like to watch Country File, and a couple more that he won't watch.

Now I am worried about our Liz and Ian as we have'nt heard from her for a day or two. Hope everything is ok.

Mandy too the antibios should be starting to kick in now, I hope.

Thinking of Sheila too and hoping she is now on the mend.

Also anyone else who is a bit under the weather. Now thats a funny saying is'nt it?

Try again! Have just typed a post, and the pooter suddenly had a fit, tried to go off line and in the end deleted everything I'd typed!! When its does this (frequently!) I just get upand walk away from it! elseI'd probably chuck it through the window I get so fed up with it! Yesterday, we got up late after a rather bad night, I then managed to slip over in Merlins Yard (more haste etc!) and have bruised my back! lucky it wasn't worse!! so I'M now on the paracetamol provided by the hospital!! 12 noon we had a Doctors appointment for Ian to sort out these pads, and have a general check up. Good news on that front as our GP thought Ian looked very well considering the operation he has had only a month ago. Think a few light duties on the domestic front are in order!! Thanks Mel for being concerned about us, it's really appreciated. Yesterday afternoon I caught up with the first half hour of South Riding which I missed on Sunday, I thought it was really good, looking forward to the next episode. I do hope that all our 'ill' folk are feeling better, and that 'up's and downs' are sorting out. David,you are SO right about 'sticks and stones,' words certainly CAN cause deep wounds and be extremely hurtful. My mother used to tell me to be very careful what you say to other people in anger, because how ever much you say you are 'sorry', you can never un-say anything!! very true I think!
