I agree with Jude, you can pass on the oddest things on Freecycle. We have passed on all sorts of fish equiment, Fish, plants, trees, electrical equipment, water fountains, all sorts and even old computer magazines. |

We decided that our 5 year old dining table and 6 chairs were much to big for our small dining room. So advertised it on our local Freecycle. We got 15 requests for it, but let it go to the first email we got,.a young couple with children were absolutely thrilled with it. |

As the idea behind freecycle is to keep good things out of landfill, it's always better to give them away. We gave away everything when we had our garden landscaped, flagstones, topsoil, wall stones, huge shed. I've also given away things like old towels, advertised them for dog use, snapped up! |

In past weeks in our area two items which caught my attention was a 32' yacht (slight damage) and a 32" plasma screen tv!!!!!!!Never heard of freegle just googled none in our area. |

It was true Sandie and the 32' yacht (slightly damaged would do a winterproject) was the heading. I could not believe it. But in saying that a lot of charities will not accept electrical goods. Even the charity that supply furniture to homeless etc will not accept gas cookers or tvs. I know that because I offered them both. |

I stand corrected - it was 2/3 weeks ago - I checked back and it was 23' yacht and 40" plasma screen tv! |
