Of course you will get upset at times Carole, you all went through so much and it will keep coming to mind even when you are busy with other things, but let the tears come, no sense bottling them up or trying to put on a brave face, tears are better out than in. I can understand your Mum being less stressed now - I suppose for her especially it's been hard as she was the one looking after your Dad all the time, I think? and she must have wondered every day what would happen. |

Just to let you no Carole said thank you so much for the flowers she had put thank you on her thread,so she just rang me to say thank you and i said i would put it on here and also for the cards that her friends have sent |

Carole, sadly it will take a long time to even come to terms with your loss, but you will find there will be days where you laugh and behave as always, and suddenly you think of your Dad and feel guilty that you didn't have him in your mind for a while. It's natural and is the way that grieving gently moves on, and it is the way your mind helps you cope without making yourself ill. |
