Boris, Witty and Vallance are doing yet another press conference at 5 pm.

What have they got up their sleeves this time ?

AnninGlos Report 5 Jan 2021 17:01

I had not heard this, I wonder what has changed

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 7 Jan 2021 10:26

And looks like yet another one 5pm today. :-(

nameslessone Report 7 Jan 2021 10:28

Thanks Ann. I knew they said there would be one but hadn't got around to checking the time.

Matt Hancock is doing one today. I presume it will be at 5.

I have to admit I now watch and listen to the main bits but when it gets to the press I turn over to watch pointless. I think there is a limit to doom and gloom I can take and it is eaven worse if we also have Whitty and Valance.

In th ‘old’ days the best question was usually the last one from a local paper. The earlier questions were usually a repeat of an even earlier one - these top journalists seem unable to think on their feet.

Seems that Priti Patel is going to give us all a ‘behave’ lecture at 5 pm today.

If only people would follow the rules !

It is not unusual for patients in St Marys to be transferred to the mainland.

JoyLouise

JoyLouise Report 12 Jan 2021 14:01

Behave lecture from Patel my a**e - in the gist of the Royle patriarch!

What a shower our government ministers are!

They won't even back the police who issued fines to the two moaning minnies who drove (not walked, cycled or ran) five miles to meet up with each other over a coffee and a walk.

It's looking ever more likely that we have the government we deserve when you see this happening.

"Perhaps we could utilise Priti Patel more efficiently by having her cruelly bully Covid 19 until it has a breakdown."

Another one today at 5, with Boris.

Matt Hancock tonight.

maggiewinchester

maggiewinchester Report 18 Jan 2021 14:06

I shall carry on as usual.
I'd much rather try to answer questions on 'The Chase', than try to interpret the
'doublespeak' of MPs!

Hancock again what about this time thought he had 'done' vaccinations. Don't they know familiarity breeds contempt and you can have too much of a good thing?

Ah! the rules...........
personally I try to conform...... BUT

what is the difference,,,living in the same brick box, sleeping in the same bed, eating meals together that I have prepared.....

to getting in the car and going for a ride, and a walk, locally?????

or just walking around the block for half an hour??

maggiewinchester

maggiewinchester Report 19 Jan 2021 20:31

Ann, the same Hancock who told people to stay at home - and was then seen playing rugby with his sons in a very crowded park - and is now self-isolating?
One rule for 'them', another for 'us'.

Nothing wrong with taking a walk locally, Bob, but places like the New Forest are overflowing with 'incomers' - from places like Surrey and Dorset.
The car parks are full, so they're parking on the verges, and destroying the ditches.
Some cars have been seen driving 'off road', through the Forest - and scaring animals.
Not only are Forest Warders out and about looking out for damage, the police are patrolling.
It's not as if Dorset & Surrey etc, haven't got local places they could walk!

Oo eck!! Another one. Pritti Patel tonight. Maybe she is going to use the pandemic as the excuse for losing all that data.
