Need some help please ,I am doing my family tree and have a newspaper clipping of the 5 brothers from Newton St Loe Somerset ,need to find out about Driver W Curtis 14th Gloucesters &Private E S Curtis 14th Battalion Sherwood Foresters & Driver F Curtis A S C,The other two I have history of but I would like to know if the three survived as quite a lot of my family were involved and a few did not come back many thanks

EDIT: Ancestry has his place of birth incorrectly transcribed as Lancashire!! So I didn't think this was correct- however, looking at original image for 1911 census- it states he was born Keynsham, Somerset- so looks good.

Not seeing anything military for Edward/ Edwin/ ES Curtis

Hi all Austin Q Yes the family was very large and from the Somerset area but the problem I keep getting is that they keep changing the names around Edwin used George as his middle name ,I have checked the CWGC and cannot find anything there I have also been to the church at Newton St Loe where ( Fred )Curtis is mentioned as serving in WW1 I did not give you enough info sorry

We now have Fred and William accounted for above-

So are you assuming the E S Curtis with the Sherwood Foresters is Edward George? Do you have Edward on the 1911 census?
