Did I spell it wrong again Cynths !??? :-D

Anyway - It was REALLY good !!!

Re the double glazing - I have tried several Company's and they all wanted me to have new windows !!! £10 ,000- £12,000 or more !!

I only wanted new glass, not new frames!

There is nothing wrong with my UPVC window frames so I just wanted the glass !

Have just found somneone who will do that for less than £1.000 - The man is coming next week !!

Dea

we've had some double-glazed windows re-done with just the glass.

It works well ...... and is a heck of a lot cheaper!

I picked up a little free local advertising/newspaper in the coffee shop while we were up north ........

...... it is Thanksgiving in Canada this coming Monday, and they had printed recipes for common foods at Thanksgiving, as recommended by the Kindergarten Class (ages 5 to 6). I thought you might enjoy them.

Turkey ............. you buy the turkey and take the paper off it. Then you put it in the refrigerator and take it back out and cut it with a knife and make sure all the wires are out and take out the neck and heart. Then you put it in a big pan and cook it for half an hour at 80 degrees. Then you invite people over and eat.

Chicken Pie ............... Put the chicken in the pot and put the salad and cheese and mustard and then you mix it all together. Then put chicken sauce and stir it all around again. Then you cook it for 5 minutes at 9 degrees. Then you eat it.

Pumpkin Pie ............. First you put pumpkin seeds in it. Put it in a pan and bake it at 5 degrees for 6 minutes. Then take it out and eat it.

Deer Jerky (a dried meat) ....... Put it in the oven overnight at 20 degrees. Then you go hunting and bring it with you. Then you eat it.

Welcome back Sylvs and thanks for the breakfast. I'm spoilt for choice again.....decisions, decisions.... :-D

I think that's what I will do about my windows Sylvs. I don't think there's anything wrong with the frames to be honest - at least I hope not... :-S

I am still sorting through photos they never seem to end. I really must finish soon as my dining room table resembles a photography shop....... :-0

Ironing, lunch and haircut today. Nothing too strenuous so I will just potter around. Later~~~~

Dea

Dea Report 5 Oct 2012 08:16

Good morning all :-D

Those recipes were really funny Sylvs but I am SO glad you didn't let those 5 or 6 year olds cook breakfast this morning or we would all be down with food poisoning ;-) :-D

Not sure where to start so I think I will just 'munch' my way along the table :-D

Thank you Sylvs <3

It's SO sad but it does seem that the police think she may have been murdered. :-(

As grandparents, we are protective not only of our grandchildren but also of their parents whom we raised. I do hope that the little girl's family are a close and loving group and that they all get the support they will badly need. It's seems to be a close-knit community so, hopefully, they will all be there for each other for as long as it takes.

Have a nice night Gins..........mind you, whilst I don't mind trying different dishes on a table, I'm not too happy about dips and things. I have visions of other people chomping on a cracker of something and then dipping the chewed end into the dip.....eeeewwwwwww.

Good morning Sylvs and thank you - I hope you don't mind but I rootled around until I found the porridge. Finished off with some lovely fresh crumpets and butter. yummy.

Gins probably isn't very hungry after her night out but the kettle is on to make her a nice cup of tea.

Dea will be starving of course.......... so I'll fetch her an extra large plate :-D

I've made a coffee for Jonesey, but NO cigarettes 'cos I can hear him coughing from here. You don't happen to have any goose grease do you Sylvs? Sounds like he could do with a good rub down!

It looks bright but chilly outside - guess we've got to get used to it for a while now.

Not sure what I am doing today - I await my orders..... ;-)
