Good morning :-D

Thank you Sylvs - croissants this morning please. <3

Not sure I can cope with watching an amorous elk at this time in the morning :-S

I noticed that our vertical blinds weren't turning very easily and the cord seemed to be stuck. Rather than mention it to OH who, these days, gets agitated about such things, I looked at YouTube. Voila......problem solved!!!

Feeling quite pleased with myself really. It's amazing how much helpful information (as well as rubbish) there is on that site..... :-D

Should be a reasonably easy day. I informed my daughter that I didn't want to go gallivanting three days on the trot so, this afternoon I think we are sorting out her 'business' file and putting stuff aside to be shredded.

Such excitement!!!! :-D

Gee

Gee Report 2 Nov 2012 09:08

So......how did you fix your blinds then?

Cynthia

Cynthia Report 2 Nov 2012 11:39

They simply needed to be turned the other way - so to speak! Off out to lunch now.

Linda

Linda Report 2 Nov 2012 18:07

Gins Hope you enjoy your break :-D

Sylvia I loved the Elk story :-)

Cynthia Well done on your weight loss :-)

Jonesey Hope your daughter makes a speedy recovery and is home in time for Christmas <3

I have been a bit under the weather this week and had no energy to do anything.

Today is the first I have felt ok. Last night I went out with some friends ( planned ages ago) one of them has a friend who is going to NY in the next few days to celebrate a big 0 birthday have been told its ok to go! ???

I phoned my cousin in NJ on Wednesday and she was lucky in that she didn't lose power or have any serious damage to her property but all her siblings have lost power.

I spoke with the Mum of my other rellie that stays in NY and she had just spoken to him on Wednesday morning his power was still out. He was in a queue at a coffee shop and didn't know why she was worried about him!! Men!!

OH and son have now caught my bug :-(

It was nice of me to share wasn't it ;-)

Spent today catching up on housework so am going to sit on me bum and watch the tv tonight (and do more knitting) ;-)

The folk living on the eastern seaboard of the US are really in terrible strife!

Some will not get power back for 2 weeks of more ................... that means no heat, no light, etc etc

It's not even certain what will happen next Tuesday re the voting in the election .................. most places went to electronic voting after the deabcle with the hanging bis in the 2000 election in Florida.

No electricity, no voting machines

Still, I'm hoping Obama will pull it off! Romney is scary!!

It will be interesting to see what happens next week Sylvs.......and yes, I prefer Obama.

Sorry you've been poorly Linds and you're under no compunction whatsoever to share it with the rest of us. Thanks all the same!

Cleared out daughter's file and one heck of a lot to be shredded. That's over to OH!

It's been pouring again today - just amazed that we haven't had a hosepipe ban yet!!!! :-D

Our little treadmill arrived today......... :-S I will leave OH to sort it out. It may have to live in the dining room though :-S
