I have made the tea and coffee if anyone is awake and I will put some breakfast on later if I don't smell anything cooking by then.

O.K. then, all cookers are on.......................

Fresh tea and coffee being made.......

Porridge is bubbling away and all ingredients for a 'full english' and cooking away merrily!

Cold cereals, yoghurts, fresh fruit, croissants and danish pastries are set out alongside hams and cheeses with warm fresh rolls and crackers.

raining hard here ....................... another earthquake, this time just off the Alaskan coast, at about 12:50 am this morning.

Didn't feel a thing .............. and the bed didn't move ;-)


A tsunami warning was issued, but it was smaller than expected, and has now been cancelled.

The earthquake was on the same fault as the one off Haida Gwaii last October.

............. it hasn't really been that long

The dry tickly cough started on Sunday, the nose started on Wednesday .........

colds usually last about 7 days for me :-(


The problem is that I cannot take anything to make life a bit easier ............. I'm on blood pressure medication, and that rules out almost everything, except herbal remedies.

Hmmm. Herbal remedies eh? Sorry, can't help you there Sylvs. Don't even think I have any bouquet garni in...... :-D :-D :-D

My mum used to say that a cold was "3 days coming, 3 days here and 3 days going". I think she was about right to be honest.



Quite a reasonable day today. Nice easy drink at favourite coffee shop and a quick trip to a garden centre to get something daughter was after.


It's SO good to get back to normal.......well, as normal as I can get of course!

Hi Just been to see the new Hobbit film it was good but long. Then we went for something to eat.

Home now having a cuppa and playing catch up.
