preparing for a colonoscopy IS the worst part.


OH has to go onto a clear liquid diet for 3 days beforehand ............. chicken or beef consomme or broth, clear jelly, juices, coffee or tea without milk.

At the same time he has to drink 2 bottles of "stuff" .................. and spend much time in the loo


Oh, yes .............. and he has to be off red meats and certain veggies etc for 7 days before the colonocopy.


That's also what I had to do several years ago ............. but the "stuff" i had to take meant also drinking 2 litres of water with it.

No more spots so hopefully not chickenpox :-D

We had GD today her Mum (DIL) taught her to say " Happy 50th Birthday" when it was her Nans birthday last year (the other gran not me) she is practising for my OH's birthday in June.

Today I asked her what age her Nan was and she said 50.

I the asked her what age her Grampa was going to be.

Silence

Asked her again and ( I think just to stop me asking) she said OLD!!! ;-)

been out to dinner, had a lovely time, and the meal was quite fantastic, and home late .....................




so it's "help yourself" breakfast time :-D





Porridge is bubbling away

Selection of cold cereals

bacon, ham, sausage patties, mushrooms, tomatoes etc are all in the fridge


Breads, croissants, barm cakes, Danish are in the bread bin


Tea, coffee and juices over >>>>>>>>>>>

Good news about it not being chickenpox Linds.

Your GD sounds lovely - she certainly found an answer to shut you up :-D

Grandson had us 'in stitches' the other day - he is just 4 and whilst he is very bright, he know all his numbers and many of his letters but cannot yet read or write............. He is extremely good on the computer and sits himself down, switches it on, finds his favourite games (educational, of course) and programmes and sets to work quite expertly with the mouse!

The other day he found himself a new game and was not sure how it worked so grandad was telling him......... suddenly he stopped and picked up a pen and paper saying "Hang on a minute grandad - I will write it down" :-D He then proceeded to draw little squigly lines on his paper every time grandad told him what to do........... How on earth he thought he was going to read it back I have no idea :-D :-D :-D

Hubby is off out 'on a mission' - He has been gone for about 2 hours now !

I asked him this morning to please get me some boiled sweets, preferably mints, but they must not be 'red' or darkly coloured (don't ask!! - all to do with this special prep diet for tomorrow) ;-) :-D

Anyway, firstly he didn't know what was meant by 'boiled sweets' so I had to explain and suggested that something like 'Fox's Glacier mints' would be ideal !!

He came back with a packet of dark puply-black coloured menthol chest and cough sweets :-D :-D :-D

He has now gone out again in search of something more appropriate - He has decided that 'Fox's Glacier Mints' it shall be !!

I don't even know if they make then any more :-D :-D :-D

He is a 'sweety' though <3 and I do hope to see him return before morning :-D

Dea what are our Grandchildren like. She is only 2 and was sitting on OH's knee doing jigsaws on his Ipad. OH took her out in her pram (to get her to sleep.

He brought her home sleeping and when she woke up she wanted to go for a walk :-D

She didn't think she had been out :-D
