It's good to know that you've all had a good day.

My lot went home about 3/4 hour ago and I have been tidying up ever since.... :-S

They were very thoughtful and none bought me choccies because they know I am trying to be good - so - smellies and a token for a hot stone massage....... :-D :-D

Mind you, I think I've gone deaf since they left.........so much chatter and laughter..... :-D

Something of a surprise/shock this morning. My eldest son aged 39 turned up bearing a card and a bunch of flowers for his mother. Nothing unusual about that on Mothers day you might think but neither his mother or I knew where he has been living or had seen or heard from him for over two years.

I had heard on the grapevine that he had come back to live in this part of the world but not a word from him. It appears that he has been living about 4 miles away from us since last summer. No reason was given or asked for regarding his absence. He looked fit and well which I suppose is the important thing. He stayed for lunch and chatted as if he had never been absent and after about 4 hours he left. The question now of course is when, if ever, will we see him again?

You know what they say, "You can pick your friends but you can't pick your family."

how lovely <3 <3

One of our neighbours has 3 sons.

Suddenly, about 15 or so years ago, the middle one left home, and then about 4 or 5 months later told his parents he wanted nothing more to do with them. Cut off contact.

He was in his mid-20s at that time.

Parents devastated, of course.

Nothing more heard form him .................. although someone did find out that he had moved down to the US.

Finally about 6 years ago, he made contact with the parents .............. he was living and working in Malibu, California.

Over a period of about two years, he would phone, then he let his Dad visit, and then he finally agreed to his Mum going down.

He moved back to Canada in the middle of last year, and has been living at home ever since.

don't think he has ever said why ............. but he had been working hard, and had a very successful small business doing car detailing and re-building

Thank you for breakfast Sylvs........cereal for me please. :-)

We have a beautifully bright and sunny morning here. Feels a bit chilly through the open window but it looks lovely out there.

Apparently, one of my brake lights is out - must go and get that fixed this morning.

Either Linds was hysterical with laughter last night or she had the same problem as me - the dreaded error message :-(

Have a good day everyone - back later ~~~~

Dea Report 11 Mar 2013 07:53

Good morning all :-)

It looks like it is Linds who has the hicups now !! :-D

Jonesey - it must have been a wonderful surprise for you and 'Mrs Jonesey' to have contact again with your son after all that time <3 <3

Thank you for the lovely breakfast Sylvs <3

We too have a bit of the 'white stuff' but it is a lovely day and the sun is shining :-S

I woke up and it was bright daylight - I thought I had slept in again but it was only 6.30 when I looked at the clock - very confusing but it is so lovely to see a bit of sunlight again, even if it is still very cold :-)

See you all later,

Dea Xxx

I'm back........poor Fred had sank into the depths :-(

Boy is cold out today, -1c but feels more like -6c with the wind chill

It's snowed all day here, but its so windy, its blowing away. And, the snow looks like fake snow, little polystyrene balls :-0
