David, I hope you are OK.........we are here to keep you busy :-)

Linds...........mom and dad to the rescue! We never stop looking after our 'children' do we!

Very heavy snow here and drifts that have made everything look like huge lumps as opposed to shapes. The cars that didnt move yesterday are almost unrecognisable

Mornin all~~~~~~ :-D

Jonesey

Jonesey Report 23 Mar 2013 07:51

Morning all,

Another 4~5 inches of snow overnight and it is still falling.

Mrs J's singing group are scheduled to perform their biannual charity concert in a local town hall this evening. They normally get an audience of about 500 but with the weather and roads as they are they will be lucky to get any if indeed the event can go ahead.

Sorry to hear of your problems David, your absence has been commented upon. I don't know whether you saw it or not but 3 weeks ago I posted some more information about your mysterious ancestor on this thread. It may help resolve your query. As you say, "Keep Smiling."

Gee Report 23 Mar 2013 07:56

Croissants.....yum, with some strawberry jam and a big cup of Assam :-D

Seems like we all logged on at the same time this morning

Dea Report 23 Mar 2013 08:21

Good morning everyone :-) :-)

Well, it sounds like none of us will be going anywhere today! 4-5 inches of snow here too overnight, I can just imagine how excited the grandchildren will be :-0 :-) :-)

It is still coming down like a blizzard out there :-(

Sorry you have been 'in the wars' David - hop you get better soon <3

I think I need the full english again today - thank you Cynthia <3

See you all later,

Dea x

Spotted my next door but one neighbour clearing his drive and then that of the old chap next door......I sprinted to the bedroom, donned trousers and jumper over my jamas and raced outside to ask if he would help me to clear ours...... :-D

No problem - I can at least reverse onto the road now :-D :-D :-D Mind you, after all that sprinting and racing, I am cream crackered.......!!

Dea Report 23 Mar 2013 16:47

You do have lovely neighbours Cynths !!!

Strange here - it has been snowing all day and sometimes VERY heavy but there is less snow lying around now than there was this morning :-S

I am not complaining about that ;-)

I went to the local shops today.........most of them closed

I was on the garden today, knocking off the heavy snow that was weighing down the shrubs

We dont get many cars on our road in the best of weather, today....one 4x4 and thats it!

Cynthia

Cynthia Report 23 Mar 2013 21:02

Jonesey, I thought, for a moment, that you said you weren't 'proposing' to Dea. :-D :-D

Have you got any coffee creams or turkish delight in that box? If so, I would be very willing to take them off your hands.......... ;-)

Dearest Numpty Dea.........((((hugs)))) to help you feel a little better. <3 <3

Managed to pick up daughter today and we went to our favourite coffee shop. It was packed to the gills so we 'lurked' at the back. They know us well and, whilst we were there, I went to get them some milk, my daughter cleared a few tables to help out and then we moved so that a larger group could sit where we were.

It's a family run business.....young woman owns it and her parents do most of the cooking. There are a few extra staff and they are all lovely. The place is spotlessly clean and the food is excellent and very decently priced.

Hope we don't get any more snow tomorrow....have had enough of it now...

Cynthia Report 24 Mar 2013 07:59

Good morning friends..... :-D

Thank you for the breakfast Sylvs......porridge is just the thing for me this morning please. Very windy and bitterly cold at the moment.

We use our garage to store things in and have an outside freezer in there. Because of the wind, we had put a stone planter in front of the garage door because it can sometimes blow open.

I wanted something from the garage this morning so trot outside to fetch it.

Could I move that stone planter? Could I he**.

I pushed. I pulled. I shoved. I heaved. I kicked. In the end, I fetched some boiling water.........and salt.......and more boiling water, all whilst battling with a howling, freezing gale in my dressing gown with a coat thrown over. I must have looked like a demented red riding hood.

Sheeeeeesh.......eventually...........EUREKA!

I am now worn out..... :-D :-D :-D
