Phew.....am fair whacked!!!! :-D

Shopping this morning then picked up grandson from school to go to the dentist. Popped (at his request) into McD's and then came home to feed the others.

Out again for just after 6 to present 'medals' at the Rainbows' Mini Olympics. Bless their little hearts and cute faces. They were all excited at the thought of winning a medals with hopping, egg and spoon race, sack race etc. It's lovely to see children being children..... :-D

I take my hat off to the adults who so freely give up their time to help run groups like this. :-)

Take it easy Gins........go gently with the flow...... <3

My children were not allowed the 'old, normal' races for sports day...

No competitive sports, everyone was a winner in 'team' events

H&S (allegedly) was the reason they had to go off site to have their school sports day......despite the huge school playing field

we're going to be away for a couple of days .......... our visitor wanted to go to the west coast of the Island ............. that's on the ocean side

it's also the first week of summer holidays

I had the most frustrating time yesterday .......... finding hotel or motel that had vacancies

THEN my printer started acting up!

Anyway, I managed to get 2 rooms, at a price that was not in the stratosphere

managed to get reservations on the ferries

so he gets 1 night, and hopefully parts of 2 days to see it.

Many thanks to Dea and Cyn for braving the hot kitchen xxxxx <3 <3 <3

Now then, the rest of the breakfast is on it's way.

It took me SO long to manage to get Ginn's breckie on here that our's is now well on it's way:

Cereals, yoghurts and fresh fruit.

Porridge.

Lots of toast and various sweet and savoury spreads.

Platters of fresh hams and cheeses - crackers, hot bread rolls.

Sausages, bacon, fried bread, mushrooms, tomatoes, baked beans...

Eggs will be cooked to order.

Hope you enjoy..................

Good morning and thank you Dea............Porridge please with a side dish of fried bread :-D :-D :-D

Gins, everyone got a medal last night.........of some sort of other :-S

Personally, I don't agree with it because children aren't learning that life can be tough at times. I do wonder how some of them will face future problems if they are never allowed to be disappointed. :-S

In fact, like most people I know, I consider H & S to have gone over the top. :-(

Whilst out walking in the woodland with OH the other day, we saw several fallen/lopped trees which looked brilliant for children to play on. I said to OH that sadly, I doubt if they would be allowed to play on such things anymore, and there's us, who would, if we but could, just love to be able to clamber around and have fun :-D :-D

Walk. Housework. Lunch with friend. ~~~~~~~~
