Old Mutt Jaz age 15 has had me up half the night,when she is poorly she can sure let you know,moan?shes worse than Ja...x and Ginny put together on a good day......
Off to the vets with her at 3 pm,but before that off to the MPs bus that is coming to town for an hour,an hour I ask you,I wont get through the things I have to say about our village in an hour anymore than anyone else here will and I know there are plenty going.
Top of everyones list is the stench from the slaughter house 2 or 3 times a week,but of course not happening today while he calls !
The Plaid Cymru MP that was voted in will wish he had never come here..

Would you believe my luck??
Mps mother fell over and broke her hip this morning,MP is at Carmarthen Hospital with her,so,still didnt get to see him,had to speak to local councilor who gets less done than HID does on a one of his bad days.
But I was first in the queue for once.
But luckily his PA turned up and took all the stuff I had prepared for them from me re THE STENCH..and says she will phone to speak to me at some point.
A place in Somerset has a similar slaughter house that kills for Tesco etc and is on the edge of a small market town as it is here,but they have installed a filter or somesuch to stop the smell and in the times I have been through there I have never smelt it.They have a working committee of local residents (voluntary)who liasion between the residents and the firm.
Similar with a place in Birmingham,so why cant we get it done here?
Councilor reckons they have installed something that they say will help but it is not being switched on for at least another 4 weeks..why NOT !?

And I note that there are a few queries on Clinic to do with Scottish stuff now since last night when someone put up posts that said they had access to SP...!

Hi Nia,

Can you please tell me where i failed the criteria?

I am a high level helper here at GR, and with the 'team' of people i work alongside we have an extremely high rate of success!

I can see massive holes within your 'help clinic' mainly the lack of Scottish helpers and those out of hour times... both of which i can help with.

It does smack of narrow mindedness that some of the most successful helpers are not chosen against those whom have not been here very long and are not 'seasoned' experts. Myself and others i work alongside on your site have helped make your site what it is today, and you toss us aside because of some silly rules!!! It's enivitable that those here as long as myself are going to step outside of the boundaries every now and again....that's life and learning curves!

As i have asked, i would like to know where i failed in your criteria, maybe i can learn something from this situation.... but i do feel it'll be GR learning that what you are doing is alienating those who have helped you for years in favour of those who are simply squeaky clean, and maybe not as knowlegeable.

In your place, I too would want to know in what way you 'did not meet their criteria'

I think it is only fair that they should tell you that !!

You wouldn't want to be there though Tracey - It is too restricting, no fun, and you are open to abuse !!

It really isn't worth it!

Good one Tracey. I find that the 'did not meet our criteria' bit rather ....er....insulting to be honest. As far as I am aware, the only criteria mentioned was to have been a member for a year, have 100+ names on your tree and to help on Records board. Hardly Mensa stuff is it? They really have made a pig's ear of things with this idea.



Just back from lunch out with old friends. Lovely time it was. We laughed so much.


Off to doc's later as I think OH has conjunctivitis and I want to get it sorted pronto.

If it ain't one thing, it's another.



EDIT.....I see I have returned. Now I can remember who I am.

Hmmm, having spoke to a couple of 'stars' i have kinda already come to that conclusion.

However choice would be nice lol.... and with the absence of choice, reasons now take over lol.

I think my reply is polite and to the point! It's just annoying that they let us here but we are not good enough for the rest of it.

My viewpoint is mainly that to make changes you need to be part of the system.... but hey ho, it's not like i'll be crying into my soup!!
