for mary king nee wells death, in mile end, this was not her,

i dont know where walter / edgar king was born, ? who his mother was,? i only have his father on his marriage cert as Thomas king dec,? which may not even be his fathers name ? as Riocohet pointed out,

i do not have a clue where to go from here, every time i get a glimmer of hope bang up comes a brick wall, not with one but three of them, i think i have been waisting every ones time for which i do appologise.

So sorry Kelly you cant complete this journey. As Ricochet said his fathers name might have been invented. I have just received a birth cert where the fathers name is added and I know for certain that father had died in WW1 13 months earlier.
Sadly the baby died and her mother died 8 days after. There were then 4 children left as orphans. So sad

i have 2 last hopes 1st i still havent heard about the search for Edgar w king from camberwell, but am not holding my breath
the other is the parish records for the church in camberwell, i have a phone number now in cambridge that may be able to help,
but after that i will have to stop as this is becoming an obession

hi thanks so much jan for your reply, i have an uncle who is 72 yrs and he says pop as he called walter didnt have any brothers or sisters and harry was 16 yrs to the day when walter died on harrys birthday,30.10.53

so i dont know, i am just waiting for camberwell to refund part of my money
for the search i am waiting for Edgar walter king, as this name was on his childrens birth cert

the 1893 is coming from his marriage cert says he was 19 when he married ester waller in 1912, she died 1919 he remarried to Lydia faulkner in 1920 till he died

Well what a surprise, the gro refunded £7 of my search money for
Edgar w king as no match,
so there is only the parish records but i am not holding my breath on
that either,
as if i am unable to find his birth from 2 gro searches then i think thats
it, its such a shame, as my mum can only go back to her grand father,
still thats life

this site drives me mad, i have just lost a long reply to you

i am not sure i think there was one in there they were fish mongers
which i dont think was them
i have been in touch with a lady in cambridge who has axcess to parish
records, and is going to do a search, but i am not holding out much hope
i have had so many very king people searching for me, but have all come back with nothing,
i just think he MUST be somewhere, and for all of them to go i just cannot get my head round it.

Been reading through the thread again and found this which you posted 9th April on page 4.

Makes you wonder if this is true as Thomas and Mary were quite old in 1901 to not have any other children so maybe they unofficially adopted Walter.
