Hello Jackie - Thank you for your kind offer and I wonder if you could do a look up for me please.
I've found my family on the IGI - Edward Aspinwall and his wife Catherine (married 1830) and possibly their 4 children, Jane Aspinwall born 1831, Edward b. 1833,Stephen b. 1835 and Thomas b. 1836.
According to IGI, two children were born in Halsall, Lancashire. and two born in Bickerstaffe, Lancs.
I wonder if you could find them at all on the census and if any other children are given. Edward senior I think would be a boatman and the family will be in Lancashire.

Hi,

I am looking for the death of Catherine Scott born c1886 in Wigton district Cumberland. She was alive 1925. Probably died 1940s-60s. Hope that's enough info. When I search for this in Ancestry I suspect it is the top result, but have no subscription to look.

Thanks for your response. I'm afraid all I know about Catherine Scott is that she was 36 on 11 Dec 1922 when she got married, the daughter of deceased farmer Joseph Bell, of 27 Crummock Street Carlisle, and they lived after marriage in Silloth on Solway (Wigton Dist). Her husband John I think died aged 81 in Wigton 1st Q 1963. I have been unable to find her in the English censuses, but don't even know where she was born. I was hoping that her age at death might help confirm her year of birth. Any suggestions welcome.
