Hi Jacqueline, I am trying to find out when my grand father died, I think it was during the 1930's. His name was John William Hughes born 1869 in Bala, Wales he was married to Elizabeth Evans 1880. I think he died in Llandrillo as that was where they lived.

Hi Jackie, could you search 1851 census I can't find my great great grandparents, I've found my great great grandma on 1861 she was widowed. They lived at the Ship Inn, Bala, North Wales and had 2 children Elizabeth born 1852 and Robert born 1859.

Hi Jackie, sorry about that, brain not connected. my great great Grandma was Margaret Jones, she first married someone with the surname Ellis (she married my great grand pa when she was a widow) they lived at the Ship Inn, Bala North Wales and had 2 children Elizabeth Ellis born 1852 and Robert Ellis 1859. Its the Ellis family I'm trying to find, as I know about her 2nd marriage to Richard Hughes.

Hi Jackie, thank you so much for all the info. As you can tell I have had a lot of trouble finding this side of my family, could you try to find my ggg grand father Richard Jones, Margaret Jones (Ellis) father I have her 2nd marriage certificate to Richard Hughes 24.8.1861 her father is stated as Richard Jones, Herdsman or Fordsman the writing is'nt very clear. As Margaret was born in Llanfor, Bala her father may have been born there as well.

My Mother, Ella Irvine b1929-d1994 was the youngest daughter of Thomas Atkinso b1880-d1957 and Jane Atkinson, formerly widow named Dodds nee Stewart d1944

Thomas was the son of John Atkinson b1843 and Mary Ann Scott

Here my tree splits Jackie. For some reason I have John Atkinson down as being the son of Joseph Atkinson and again as being the son of William Atkinson coachman b1801-d unknown

Could you please advise me which is correct ? One of them is obviously wrong.

Please would you look up in 1841 census Elizabeth Spanswick, my gt gt grandmother born 1829 Easton, Wiltshire who married Jessie Long from Burbage, with children George 1870, my gt grandfather, William 1866, Mikhal 1868 and John 1873, all in 1881 census.
Also, would you please look up Charlotte Holloway (George Long's wife's mother) born 1824c Sonning, Oxfordshire who married Francis Smith in Reading in 1862.Francis was from Battle, Sussex, and children Harry E born 1864 Reading and Mary A born 1869 in Reading, all in 1881 census.
