Also the death is Josephine is registered in Southend ...this is Essex isn't it? Or am I over thinking this

CupCakes Report 1 Aug 2013 00:04

Hampstead is in London near here and spans the boundaries of Camden/Brent boroughs. Willesden is also in Brent.

Southend is the other side of the River Thames from Canvey Island. Rochford and Benfleet are also the same area

Just wondering what happened to Rose after 1964.

Like you all I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Spent the past few hours carefully checking the records and finding the current addresses of the presumed daughters and their hubbies of Victor and Kathleen Worthington.
Can't be absolutely sure but all looks so promising - have PM'd the stuff to Peter

Nite all

:-D

Well done I hope you hear back soon and in the affirmative.

I guess, if we are right, that Victor must have changed his name officially at some point as he would need is birth certificate to get married, get a passport etc.

Hi everybody. My name is Lianne, steve's daughter in law. He's finding this all very overwhelming and I have logged in to get my head around it all. Just to update you all so far there is no reply from the girls (Dawn and Paula), however somebody has spoken to one of them Dawn. She says there is no connection so I'm thinking the Dawn and Paula born from the marraige of Victor M Worthington and Kathleen Drury are not cousins of steve's and therefore neither is this Victor M Worthington. I have now written to Ronald Dudley beleived to be the son of Josephine Dudley.

I understand that a death certificate has been obtained by the lady helping steve for his late grandfather, named Michele (otherwise Michael) PACITTI of 32 Redfern Road, Willesden. He died on 4th November 1953 and was husband to steve's grandmother Maria Antonia Pacitti. The informant of the death was Anthony Pacitti. The lady helping Steve wrote to this Anthony Pacitti at the address stated (I'm yet to find out this address) in 2009 but received no reply :(

It is always possible that Dawn doesn't know her grand fathers history. Lots of people don't. I really hope Peter/Steve finds out some of his past soon.

Hi Wendy, Cupcakes found a number for this Dawn and spoke with her. Apparently there is no connection. So either her dad isn't Victor Worthington or her dad isn't 'the' Victor Worthington. I'm not entirely sure what was said during the conversation.

Hi Lianne, I will look at this again as so much of the info just seems to be correct. Addresses, places names and dates tie in with info that Steve has. We are either going wrong somewhere or possibly, for whatever reason, the wrong info was given by the person contacted.

Peter56

Peter56 Report 8 Aug 2013 10:26

Hi Wendy, It was very dissappointing to hear this I must say. I'm not sure if I should ring and speak to Dawn myself but steve did send a letter to both her and her sister, paula detailing the history so surely if she'd received the letter she would have thought there was connection there even if she didn't understand that from the phonecall :-/ x
