He's shocked, has phoned me several times to clarify the information I told him and to confirm the photo's i sent him by text are really his mum and brother. Funny how this Ronald lives in Devon and my husband, the children and I are off on holiday to the same place in two weeks time!xx

How exciting tonight will be. Don't forget to make notes and make sure you are all talking about the same Victor just in case Rose/Rosa had a brother Vittorio as well.

Good luck, I'm going out this evening but will be checking your thread when I get in....just in case :-D

I haven't spoken with him this evening, his friend's left late and so he emailed me to say he'd call me tomorrow but gave me his numbers too in case I wanted to call. I will be making notes and will let you all know. thanks again so much everybody x

Wishing you luck ion your search , we have been trying to trace my wifes brother who was adopted , got his birth cert , then brick-wall .

We do not have any info on his adoption names .

Hey it's lianne. I spoke with Ronald (who calls himself by his middle name John) on Friday. What a lovely guy! He was very nice totals to, talked about lots of memories he has of steve's mum and brother (who moved to Australia years ago). He's sent Steve some more photo's and has spoke to him today on the phone too. You've all been so fantastic. Thanks everybody. The search continues for Victor (steve's brother).

Hi Dave. These people have been amazing since we put up this plea for help! I hope somebody who knows what they're doing helps you also. Best of luck xx

I am SO pleased for you and the photos will mean a lot to Steve.

Any idea of when Victor went to Australia? Did his mum Rose goes as well?

hi Wendy (it's lianne),

Cupcakes is on the case still ....we have no idea of when Victor went to Australia but steve's cousin thinks he went there married and had children. He knows that steve's mum died young of cancer and that it was after this that Victor moved away. Cupcakes may have found the death cert for steve's mum and we're waiting for that to come through x

ooops sorry forgot to say that no Rose didn't go to. It's really nice seeing the photo's ....actually we now think it looks like that's where my husband (steve's son) gets his eye shape from and my sister-in-law (one of steve's daughters) gets her very defined cheek bones from. Stuff I take for granted knowing all my family, others are less fortunate to have. sad isn't it :(. I hope you're well Wendy xxx

Steve received a letter from Victor (in Australia) this morning. He says he knew he had a brother ....he found out shortly before he left England in 1981 (will be interesting to find out how etc.). He said with help he had tried looking for Steve then but had no luck. A really lovely letter, phone calls, more letters and hopefully a reunion to follow! Thanks for all your help you guy's. This absolutely would not have happened without all your help guidance and support. Steve is thrilled to bits. Cupcakes has been amazing ...thank you xx lianne xx

Wow! Wonderful!
It has bought tears to my eyes!

So pleased for all concerned.

Well done everyone.

Enjoy being a "little brother" Steve.

This family get-together is going to be something special.
Meanwhile I hope that you have all got Skype

I agree Skype would be a brilliant way to "see" each other and have a live conversation. You both have so much to catch up on xx
