I wondered if a street search is possible on the 1911 census.

My grandparents John and Mary C Logan born 1880 from Liverpool are playing hide and seek
No one has ever been able to find them

My grandfather lived in Idris Terrace in 1910 and I wondered if they lived there in 1911
Or possibly 23 Gomer Street. Where they lived in 1916 and 1918 on two of their children's births
It's a long shot in know but I don't know where else to look for them

Sorry I didn't put John's date and place of birth above
It is c1878 Liverpool

So sorry I'm late replying I had just discovered my husbands grandfathers military service records and got carried away

I'm not sure about John's occupation. He was a tin dye setter in 1910.

Pam

Pam Report 9 Oct 2013 23:14

Their son Peter who was my dad

I and others have searched for them as a family to no avail.

Birth cert?

I have my dad's birth cert. I was hoping to find his parents through a street search on the 1911 census

Pam

Hi glitter baby

Yes that is their marriage.

I have all their info except them on the 1911 census. My dad was born in May 1910 Liverpool.

I even have them on previous census' at home with their respective families but they are proving very elusive

Their marriage certificate is on Ancestry - do you have it? At the time they were living at 29 Roscommon Street. John's father Daniel a mariner. Mary's father John (deceased) a leather worker

Hi glitterbaby

Thank you so much for the births.
You have found my uncle frank who my older remembered but I couldn't find him anywhere
Also the other brothers that we weren't sure dad had.

It really is a big break through for me.

I do have their marriage cert. they were married Christmas Day.

My day is suddenly full of sunshine now
Thank you

Do you have a house number for 1910? Nothing coming up for Idris Terrace but there is for Idris Street - but no Logans. There is a Patrick Hogan at No 14 with a wife Mary but no children.

Pam

Pam Report 10 Oct 2013 12:22

Sorry heyjude I missed your post

Yes thank you I have their marriage cert.

Polly

John was living 5H 3C Idris Terrace. Queen Anne street according to my dad's birth cert
The reason John and Mary's addresses differ is my dad was born at the workhouse hospital on Brownlow Hill due to pregnancy complications.

Not at the moment finding that address

There is a John Fowler living at 1 H 2 Ct Queen Anne St so you could try checking the images around that one but not found them yet
