I have found an entry for W.H. M. Roberts b.1905 Bristol on the 1911 census. He is living with his mother and brother. I cannot find any birth entry for him or any more Information.

I know that at that time his mother was separated from her husband. He as living with his parents.

The entry for 1911 only gives initials. The mother's full name was Julia Kate Roberts.

That is the correct marriage entry.

I also thought that there was different father because Julia went on to marry C.A. Major ( 1911). in Birmingham.
I have searched using the surname Major.

I would suspect that the "M" in his name stood for Mayor, the surname of the boarder in the household

and that possibly both Julia and her son went by that surname

actually although it does look like Mayor in 1911, it was C A Major

Apart from sending for numerous birth certificates(expensive!) I do not think that I will ever find him.

He would have been my husband's uncle.
