Hi Mary Could you find in 1891 & 01 census Arthur Betts born 1859 Barming,Kent In 1881 he was with in Teston,Kent,his parents David ( b 1831 Teston,Kent)& Mary (1833 West Farleigh)& siblings Frank,Rose,Herbert,Allen,Emily. And could you also look at the image of 1891 census for David & Mary Betts (as above) with son Earnest H. Betts 19 (b 1872 Maidstone) & their grandchildren 2 Warren children,one said to be Athenesa A. Warren 6 (b 1865 Maidstone). Do you think that Athenesa, is in fact Theresa? Thanks Kerri

Hi Kerri Here is what I have found for the Betts folks: 1891 16 Church Street,Maidstone Arthur Richard Betts Head 33 Gardener Dom Serv b Barming Jemima Betts Wife 26 b Loose,Kent Arthur William Betts Son 8 b Maidstone Penrose Taylor Betts Adopted 3 b Maidstone Hilda Dora Jemima Betts Daur 1 b Fovil,Kent Arthur Richard Betts/Jemima Coomber June Qtr 1882 Hollingsbourne 2a 1109 1891 census for David and Mary Betts shows Atheresa A Warren on the image.Can send image if you PM your email addy. 1901 38 Church Street,Maidstone Arthur R Betts Boarder 42 Married Gardener b Barming Hilda D Betts Boarder 11 b Maidstone I found an entry for a Jemima Cooper single age 37 employed as a Nurse at the Vicarage St Peter Intra ,Broadstairs.Could this be Jemima Betts having left the family home?? Cooper and Coomber are very similar phonetically and I could not find a death for her.What do you think??? Regards Mary

Hi Mary Thanks for those. I'm actually looking for strays and wonder if it is possible to search for birthplace Ockbrook or Borrowash but not found there. Please don't struggle with it if it's difficult or too large. Many thanks David

Hello Mary, i'm hoping you can help, i've got a John Guy born 1835 in Spalding Lincolnshire. He's on the 1881 census with his wife Mary A Guy b 1839 in Grantham Lincs and his son William Guy b 1865 in Spalding Lincs. Can you see if you can find John on any earlier census returns please. I used the origins site yesterday and found a possible ancestor but was unable to read the entry. It was on the 1841. The name is Elijah Palphreyman born 1771 -out of county-now living in Tib Street Manchester.I'd like to know who he's living with please.Thanks.

Hi,any chance of trying to find thomas Hodge 1805 fenstanton ( i know he married Sarah Beldam b1776 in 1824) I cant seem to find his parents, i went way off track ,followed someone else for a while now back to square one. Hope you can help

Not a great result for 1891 or 1901. 1891 Charles Hall 11 b Boston John Thomas Hall 13 b Boston Both inmates in the Bostion Union Workhouse 2 Innocent Street,Boston Ellen Hall Head Married 45 Charwoman b London Sarah Ann Hall Daur 9 Scholar b Boston No sign of William and none of them on 1901.
