Marcia Fisher. nothing for moses corbett in the 1861 census, but i found him in the 1881 cesus. Living at 104 Kirk Street Dalziel Lanark Moses Corbett 48 widower born Ireland. Kate . 1861 look up Could you please see if you can find a Peter Healey /Haley and wife Bridget should have a son David born about 1855. All i know is that Peter and Bridget were born in Ireland but David was born in Scotland [ Glasgow area ] Cath |

Hi Kate, Thanks for your offer - could you lookup Jane Gunning in Ayrshire maybe 1881 married to William John Weames. He was a Pig Dealer. Not sure of his DOB, but Jane ,I think is about 1868(?) Ayrshire. They had a son in c. 1886 (bit late for that census), don't know if they had any other children before William John Weames jnr. I think Jane also married a McCullough. Hope you can help me. Hi Kate, For the 1881 census, I've lost Alexander Clark, born June 1849 in Fintray, Aberdeenshire. Occupation Labourer/ Ag Labourer/Farm servant. Widower, aged 31. (but could be 28-30 as he seemed to vary it!) Most likely in Aberdeeenshire somewhere? 1851 census - age 1 1861 census - age 11 1878 - Alexander living in Bourtie, Aberdeenshire when wife died 1881 - oldest child is with Alexander's parents in Kintore, Aberdeenshire. Youngest 2 children are lodging in Fintray Aberdeenshire but no Alexander 1883 - Alexander living in Aberdeen when he remarried Any help gratefully accepted! Thanks, Fiona |
