Hi Kate Ive tried in vain to find the marriage of my Grandfather Thomas Marshall born 1877 to my Grandmother Mary Jane Kelly born 1880 but cannot find any record. On one of their childrens birth certificate the date definately looks like July 1899 in Motherwell but you know what the scribbles were like on those old documents. Any way would love your help if you can as its driving me nuts Thanks Linda

Hi Kate, Could you have a look for a James Bannister marriage to Ellen around the Wigan, Lancashire area about 1800. I have found one marriage for James and Ellen Eaves in 1808 but I have children from James and Ellen as early as 1804, so I'm wondering if there was another marriage with the same forname of Ellen before 1808? Regards - Louise
