Thanks Dawn, I am looking for the birth of Helen Barrie in Larbert Stirling about 1828 (according to the 1881 census). Sometimes her maiden surname was written as Barret. Even the son who registered her death put Barret. She had 10 children, and on the first three her surname was Barret, but the next seven it was Barrie. On the deaths of two of her daughters it was also Barrie. I dont have her marriage either, but her oldest child was born Dec 1848. That would maybe have given her proper surname. Thank you so much Dawn, May I impose once again and ask if you can see children of David Thompson Reid born 15 April 1845 (probably East Lothian) and Catherine Hogg born abt. 1847. They were married in Whitekirk, East Lothian on 21 June 1866. William George Reid, born 1869, was a child of this marriage. His marriage certificate says he was born in Tranent, East Lothian, but I can find no birth certificate or other siblings. I have the parents of Catherine Hogg, they were John Hogg and Catherine Fairgrieve (secondary information on a certificate) I just can't find a birth for Catherine. Hi Dawn, thanks for your time! My ggg grandfather George Fraser (b. 3.1.1804, Dornach, Ross & Cromarty) had 5 sons. Some of them born in Scotland, am trying to track down George Gunn Fraser, brother or half brother to Angus, John Charles Ker, William Leopold and Francklyn Stewart. I think he had a different mother. Would appreciate his dob and mother's name if you can find it. Also Andrew Fraser (George Fraser's great grandfather) b. 1716 in Swordale, Cromarty & Ross, Scotland). His father was Robert Fraser. Andrew married Ann Robertson. Dawn Trying to trace my Gr Grandfather Robert Reid Married a Jane Craig I would assume he was born around 1816. Unfortunately both parents had died the time my Grandfather got married. which was in 1886, as he him self was a widower I do have Grandad Marriage record,He would have been born in 1841.
