It must be the William J and Ann as if you are a fisherman you would go to the fishing port towns and Lowestoft is one of them.

Hi Lesley

I am looking for a marriage certificate of Conrad Dearness to Eva Constance Prince in the 1940's in Devon. I need to find out who Conrad's parents were, I have a good family tree up to about 1901 that I'm 99% sure I am linked to and finding out Conrad's parents will make that link for sure!!

Hope you can help, Many Thanks
Stuart Dearness

Sorry i should have told you he was born in Scotland as was my Dad. Is there an exact date on the cert? I've tried to order one online and it needs the date and location, or is there somewhwere i could go to view it?

Many thanks

LesleyC

LesleyC Report 22 Sep 2007 23:11

No there isn't a date but you don't need the exact date to get the certificate you just need the quarter the year, the volume and the page.

If you go to http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/

you can order it online costs £7 - there is no way to view any certificate online.

Hi Lesley
Would be great if you could look up 1861 census please.
For George Bancroft b 1842approx either shardlow or barrow-on-trent.
Actually could you also look for george in 1851 (if possible??).

Also Elizabeth Bailey born 1843approx ashby-de-la-zouch but think she was in shardlow in 1861?

It is possible they were living in same house but not sure.
Could you give me all details, people living with them, jobs, address etc...

Thanks Jane
