I've has some Carol but none past the letter B......I too have added lots of brances and twigs and nothing pops up on them either :-(

Still none since last January & I know of at least 3 family members who have put their trees on Genes since then, so should have matched with mine.

The fact that you or other members have added several names to your tree does not automatically mean you will get them hotmatched straight away. As mentioned previously, the system only takes 100 names each time from your tree for matching so if they are not in that list, you won't get matches. Mine seem to go up to the letter 'B'

That implies that members are not being notified of Hotmatches & we now have to look to see if we have any.
Is that the case?

I have quite a few surnames begining with A & B so why I am not getting any through I am not sure if I have understood the new system

Wisechild, no I don't think so. I still get emails from GR telling me there are some new ones, but I usually delete the email so can't always remember when the last one arrived.

The message on you home page does, however, tell you when you last had some. The fact I had some last month would indicate that the process is being run.

It is on the right hand side of my homepage - the next box below the purple 'Quick Search' It is headed Newsfeed and it says

We found 12 new Hot Matches for you. 19 Sep 2011

maybe it depends on when there were last hot matches for a member

Like Sally I cannot see the message either. There is no box on my homepage labelled 'newsfeed'

I haven't noticed it until recently so I think it is fairly new. You are probably correct and will only see it appear after you next have any matches.

I´ve still had none either, nor is there anything on my homepage to suggest that any have been looked for.

I wish they would leave well alone Sometime times in trying to improve things they actually make matters worse

I used to log on and striaght away new how many different surnames I had on my tree as well as individuals, not now though only how many individuals

I miss that little bit of info

Well we are well into December now and still waiting

I wounder if I can break a NEW RECORD for waiting the longest for my hot matches anyone else waited this long ( last Dec since I last had some) ;-)

i have not had any "hot matches" this year my last ones were before Xmas last year.
I do wish GR would go back to the old way at least I got quite a few leads back then.

Thankyou for replying Norma I depended on my hot matches too was gratfull for new leads and new contacts

My hubby and I found a cousion we didn't know existed and we meet up for the day they brought pic's for us to look at it was a great day we have kept in touch

Well we are well into 2012 and guess what still waiting for hot matches

I haven't had any since 2010 and I have added a couple of hundred in this last year so I should have some but not a one
