Located him through 1901 Census record at 15 Ashdown Street - I have tried connecting him back to 1911 Census - but it does not make sense that Harry born in Shefford, married in Ampthill with a son born in 1902 was in Islington in 1901 and giving the wrong year of birth |

My theory is that 'Harry Breed' is an alias for my great grandfather - who was an Excavator (digging deep holes and shoring them up with timbers according to my dad) - it is the year 1876 that makes me think it is him - that and the fact that the other Boarder - William Donnelly - was a witness at his marriage in December 1901. His place of residence at the time of marriage was 15 Ashdown Street! |

Yes, I have had their Marriage Cert since 2006 - but have left them alone until now (time on my hands) and G grandfather has led me a merry chase - I knew there was something when he signed his name on his Marriage Certificate but by the time my grandmother was born he had apparently 'forgotten' how to sign |
