Mike. The Leicester Lad.(GC) Report 2 Dec 2006 20:09

Greeting’s again Sarah….. It might not be the Town of Market Harborough it’s self. I think it could well be the small Village “ Great Bowden”…. Just on the north east out skirts of Harborough which would be within the District of Market Harborough. Whilst trawling those Birth Records till the wee small hours this morning I checked out Great Bowden and there is a few Burdett’s living there on the 1901. Census returns……NO Burdetts in Harborough it's serlf Harry 36 & Kate 32. there is also an intering one...... ANN Burdett. 82. Widow born OLTON Warwickshire OLTON = sound alike to Horton ? Do you have the Marriage certificate of Frederick & Ivy ? It hopefully would have Ivy’s age on it & her Father’s name that way it might help us to identify her for certain. If it is the one I found then it would make her 27 in 1941 when she married Frederick MIKE.

Hello Mike, I am wondering if you managed to find a marriage for a Fern to Ann Bishop in q4 1848, possibly in Coleorton. You said you might have to wait for the re-opening of the RO to look for this, so I might have missed your reply, although I have tried to keep track of the threads 10 and 11. My query was posted on 29 Sept on Part 10. Thank you Hilary
