Hello Please help, I can't find these on ancestry BIRTH of Elizabeth Jane Smith, daughter of William Smith and Mary Winter, she was baptised 3rd Feb 1850 in Stubbington Hants. MARRIAGE of Elizabeth Jane Smith to William Laming in Alverstoke/Gosport area of Hants, should be pre 1866 as this is when first baby arrived. Last one promise...........MARRIAGE of Arthur Laming to Ellen Reed in December 1892 again in the Alverstoke/Gosport area. If anyone would be kind enough to post the GRO REF that would be marvelous. Thank you Carley

If they aren't on Ancestry they probably haven't been transcribed. They should be on the GRO indexes on 1837online which is a payperview site, and the GRO indexes are also available on microfiche at various libraries/records offices. However, some events just weren't registered, and some that were never made their way onto the GRO index. nell

Carley Smith is a fairly common name. How certain are you that the Elizabeth Jane born 1850 is the same as the one who married around 1866? nell

Jess and Nell Im not a member of Ancestry so cant view 1861 census, there are 2 William Lamings on there from Alverstoke which I can see so far. William Laming born 1837 is Elizabeths hubbie. Elizabeth didn't live long (died 1879) and then William married her sister Emily, at the moment thats all I've got.
