Thats just the problem they don't just take one and eat it though they will kill many and leave them .

When you have had to go round picking up the lambs ,phesants ,chickens or whatever that they have gone in and killed then your view changes :-)

Or if you lose a much loved pet to them.
We had a spate of young cats going missing in my neighbourhood and although it was never proved it was believed that the foxes took them.

It is a fair point Tory..they are a nuisance..in the havoc they cause..
Animals generally have these mannerisms..
I left the lid off my bin one night..hubby got up in the morning thinking we had been burgled..remnants..paper all over the shop!..I love cats!

I have to say I'm with you Tory,
When I was a child my Mum worked as a cook at Riseholme Agricultural college just near us and I regularly saw the utter devastation that foxes caused to the geese and chickens. A sad sight that I will never forget. They seem to kill for the helluva it. they only want one, but rip the lot apart.
I would watch the hounds go out and think yea get those Bl***y things. Just wish I had known stronger language back then.
Don't mean to offend just the way I feel being an "on the edge of the country lass".
Then I also have to clear up after my neighbours cats have ripped pigeons and magpies to shreds on our patio!!! She feeds the birds so she can feed her cats I reckon. LOL
