Hello Everyone, It's nice to be back online and able to contact you again.

Thank you all so much for the lovely birthday cards. I still have them on display around my room.

Sylvia I'm sorry to see that you have not been well. I do hope the new medication is doing the trick.

Jude, have you seen the new Spellbinder dies that can be used in all types of die cutting machines? I have bought the butterfly design. It can be used whole or can be cut into smaller sections. I haven't done this with mine, if I do get tempted I will probably buy another to cut up. I saw it being used on Create and Craft and I was very impressed.

Enjoy the rest of the day

Hi all,
Nice to see you back Issy and thanks everybody for their good wishes. Have now finished my anti-bacterial tablets again - I wonder for how long again?
I still have another couple of weeks injections to have and then the whole business of giving various blood samples again.
I went to the market today on my scooter and was absolutely soaked to the skin and cold. Cold, they said on the television, but I had no idea how cold!
This afternoon I sat at the kitchen sink on my stool with wheels on and fell off. Now, nothing wrong in that you would say, but then you don't know me! How does one get up when one has artrose in the knees. I must have created a picture in all the positions I was in trying to get up again.
I didn't want Johan to know I'd fallen, but had to call for his help in the end..
I didn't want to hear the lecture "but if you had had a knife in your hands....."
Anyway, as you see here I am.
It is still raining and miserable. I'll not be going out tomorrow.
Let's make hay whilst the sun shines - I mean cards while it rains.

Sylvia, you must take more water with it then you will stay on your stool!! Only joking, I hope you are not too bruised and glad you were not badly hurt.

Hi all, sorry it has been over a week since I was on here, but still no computer hopefully in the next couple of weeks will manage to get a new one. Using my really old one from out of the loft and it is so very slow not on broadband and works on windows 98!!

Sylvia lovely to see that the treatment is beginning to work and you are feeling a little better, but not so good about the fall, hope it did not shake you up too much, take it easy and rest a little. Card making sounds like a very good idea!!! Hope Johan is keeping well.

Vertigo seems to be getting better wonder sometimes if it has something to do with my low sodium count and the anaemia!

Still the weather has not been too bad today only a few showers and in between we had lovely sunshine, but not for long I am afraid.

Sorry that I have not been able to join in the ATC swap for the last couple of months but hopefully will be back to normal next month. I miss seeing all the different ideas and techniques.

Take care everyone

Morning ladies. We are having some funny weather at the moment. I am waiting for the ground to dry after yet another wet night. I want to take our dog Phoebe to have her claws clipped.

On Saturday we had a huge birthday party for my son in law's mother who was 70. We had put up 3 awnings in the garden to accomodate all the people we were expecting plus the bar. We had a beach theme with blow up palm trees and we were all supposed to wear beachwear. The first couple of hours were ok, although the weather was dull it was dry. Then the rain came! The house was awash with mud and grass :( but we had a great time.
E had a wonderful time, she thoroughly enjoyed herself. We didn't get to be until 3am. It's a good job we dont do this very often I don't think I could cope. Ihave just about recovered.

Well I have finally managed to get myself a new laptop!!!!! All I need to do now is work out how it works, still will get there I am sure at least I have managed to get myself on the internet.

Ros, so sorry it is late but hope you had a lovely birthday and a fabulous year ahead.

I am hoping to get back to card making now that my vertigo seems to have eased, at least I can drive again and now use the computer without having to restrict the time I am on.

Ros, like the new name!

Issy sounds like you had a wonderful party, pity about the rain.

Think I should be off to bed, take care all of you.

Hi JoJo, glad to see you back and to know that the vertigo is at last going away.
Last night I was watching all my catchup programmes on my computer and sorting out the first batch of my Christmas decoupage. I recently baought a pack of Paper Nation die cuts so I spent the evening assembling this in readiness. I don't think I have ever been this early.

Jojo, good to see you back on line, I am sure you will soon get used to the new laptop. Glad, too that the virtigo seems to be going.

I am trying to come up with a golden wedding card for good friends of ours. So far not had any inspiration although I have a lot of bits and pieces scattered around my room here. I suppose something will come eventually.

Hope Sylvia is OK, not been around for a while.

First I am going to catch up with my Birthday cards then I will think about Christmas, keep watching the shows on tv but have not really seen anything that jumps out at me to want to buy. Still, till the other half can get back to work might be a while before I can splash out on more crafting materials, I do have plenty of stock in for Birthdays but not much left for Christmas.
Ann hope you get lots of inspiration for the anniversary card.

I have actually made the anniversary card and I am reasonably pleased with it.

yes I hope Sylvia is OK, Don't think she was goingaway or anything.

And, has anyone heard anything from Jill?

Jo Jo

Jo Jo Report 21 Jul 2009 19:52

Ann, glad to hear that the anniversary card turned out well. I haven't heard from Jill for some time, but I did notice she was on Facebook so perhaps she is using that instead, so many seem to be on there. Must admit I really do not like it.

Maureen hope hubby gets his op very soon. Your parchment cards are fantastic now, what else is there left for you to learn!! wish there were classes down here.

Sorry to hear that you are in so much pain at the moment, make sure you take your time and look after yourself.

Weather here has been very mixed today lots of rain and sunshine! Hasn't stopped the mole digging in the lawn though.

Hi everybody
It is nice to be back, obviously feeling somewhat better. The last thing they found with me was potassium in the blood. I now have to take 6 tablets a day for this and with the vitamine B1 injections and the extra thyroid tablet things seem to be getting better.
I now tke a total of 17 tablets a day.
I have been making some Xmas cards when i felt like it, but usually just fell asleep.
Johan and I are going into our daughter's house in Eindhoven whilst she is away for 3 weeks. From there we can visit some friends and family and Johan has booked a luxury hotel middle of Maastricht for us for 3 nights. From Almere to Maastricht can be done in a day but very tiring so that is why we are taking the opportunity of doing it from our daughter's house.
I am well ahead with the Birthday Girls cards, so hopefully nobody will be forgotten.
For those who are still sick, I would say "there is light at the end of the tunnel". Yes, I have been there.
Have a nice weekend everyone.
