Heather totally agree that some people do not appreciate the work that goes into making cards!! Have not started to make mine yet, still deciding what type to make, do not think I will be doing any decoupage ones as they are too expensive to post, must start buying some stamps.

Jill sounds like your craft classes are doing really well, are you sure one suitcase is enough!!

Weather has been horrible today, windy and very wet.

Take care everyone.

Everyone I have sent hand made cards to this year has remarked how nice they are and some have even said that they can't bring themselves to throw them away. I am sure though that some people call them home made instead of handmade and think of them as second class. I shall continue to make my cards, birthday and Christmas though as I enjoy doing it.

Afternoon girls,

Hope everyone is well.
What a bag of mixed weather today, rain this morning now glorious sunshine......... can't complain though.

I can't bring myself to throw any of my handmade cards away either Ann, will continue to save them, lord only knows what to do with them all, I started putting them into albums but I know one day I will have to rethink that idea.

Hope you all have a great Bank holiday weekend whatever you're doing.

I have a photo box I have been putting them in but it is full now, not sure what to do with them now, like to keep them for ideas.

It has been dry with some sun, not that warm and very windy here. We did manage to get some gardening done plus a visit to the dump because our garden bin was full.

Mixed weather here again yesterday and today still the sun is shining at the moment, hope it lasts!!
I have kept all my hand made cards and ATC's they are lovely to look at and as you say Ann, so much inspiration!! Have even kept some of the bought ones that I can copy as well, as you all know I am not very creative!!

Have to make the grandchildren's birthday cards, have 3 of them in September, the little ones will be two, seems like only yesterday that I was waiting for them to arrive. Eldest daughter has moved house so I have been very busy this weekend I am altering her curtains to fit the new windows, now that is fun.........

Have a lovely weekend, hope the weather stays nice for you all

Hello Everyone, hope you are all well and enjoying the week-end. The sun is shining but it is very windy. I have made a few Christmas cards so far but have had to abondon that for the moment. Have been making Congratulation cards for two of my grand-daughters, one passed her A Levels and the other her GCSE's, a New Home card and a new baby card.

For those doing the ATC swap - can you just do 4 ATC's for the time being as not so many are swapping at the moment. Thanks.

Hi all,
Like Heather, Ann, Issy, and I'm sure many more of you, I like to keep my cards. I always think of the work that you have all put into them - ah!
I have a lot of pain just typing at the moment. The doctor told me to take double paracetamol with codeine. This is now do with the result more sleep. I went to bed for a nap after dinner yesterday and between 6 and 7 fell off to sleep. This morning I woke up around 8.00 am. I didn't know where I was and asked Johan for my cup of coffee we have after dinner.
We are certainly holding each other up at the moment. I dare not go to England now with my daughter after what happened last Thursday with Johan going into a coma.
Sorry Heather cannot cope with ATC cards at the moment. Fortunately all my birthday cards are finished until next March for the Birthday Girls.
Have a nice weekend.

Sylvia so sorry to hear that Johan went into a coma, really hope that he is improving now. I should imagine you are just waiting for the doctors to get you sorted out, being in pain all the time cannot be any fun, must be difficult for you. Keep your chin up and sending you both lots of healing thoughts and good wishes.

Issy can you let me know what the next three months ATC's are please, hopefully will be able to join in as long as the tablets keep the vertigo in check.

Good evening to you all.
Sylvia, sending you all my best wishes xxx

Just spent a lovely afternoon crafting with a friend, made a change from a class and too busy to make anything as helping the group.
Weather has warmed up again after the change over the past few days, but at least the grass might start growing again as the sheep are on hay.

Gite has been a bit of a no go this year with only 9 weeks booked so the craft groups have been handy, thinking about taking over the gite for my craft workshops :))
The good thing about the workshops as it pushes me to me more adventurous as need to stay ahead and try new things.

xx Jill

HeatherinLeicestershire Report 8 Sep 2009 13:04

Afternoon girls, hope everything is well with you all.

Jill, I would definately try my hardest to come over for a craft week, if you ever decided to do it, what a wonderful holiday that would be :)
I'm going to a 'Stampin Up' class next week.
I don't know if any of you have of heard of them, it's american and a bit like a tupperware party, where they demo the goods and you get to try them and buy.I'll let you know how I get on...... they've got some gorgeous stamps in the catalogue, a bit pricey but they are good quality, I've got a little set from them and I never get any smudges.

The sun is out here today, which is lovely. We had a nice walk around the village last night and even though it was getting dark (8pm) it was still quite warm. We're going again tonight it it doesn't rain.

Speak soon .....take care all

Hi Heather, do let us know how this stamping up goes, sounds intriguing. Not that I need more stamps, I don't use the ones I have very often.

Hi all, just a few words. Today I had some vitamin D - 2ml - injected into my food. My next dose is 1 ml over a month.
I read the instructions about this injection and it said it was for vitamin
D deficiency and this would cause trouble with muscles, tiredness and a lot of the problems I have. Wouldn't it be so nice for somebody to have hit the nail on the head for a change! Sorry to keep on about my health, but it does seem to dominate my life at the moment. Who knows I may be running the marathon next year1
Good luck with your classes Jill, sounds a good idea to use the gite for this.
Love to you all
