Morning all... blinkin 'eck, where has the day gone, already... I'll answer everyone properly when we get back... off to Barry Island in a mo, and then to mum's on the way back... and it is bally freezing, lolol

Madam is jiggling on my lap trying to help.... I have had to hide the mouse from her so she can't wave it around and click it at an inconvenient moment, lol!! I have already lost my words a couple of times.... will wait til she goes to bed before having a proper *chat*.

hello I did well yesterday with some NVQ so quite chuffed it is windy and damp here was going to cut the grass but perhaps not now

Afternoon all from not so sunny Tenerife. Still I am in shorts and T shirt so guess it is warmer than home. Hope you enjoyed your time on the beach Daff and it wasn't too chilly.

7.40pm, the sun is shining and we are still in shorts and T shirts, sorry Jac, commiserations on the cold!!!!! I feel for you, really I do!!

Jude, 59 is far too young. That would be extremely heartbreaking. My OH is 79. Unfortunately he is physically very fit still. I say unfortunately because I feel he could easily last another 10 or more years and I dont know how I will cope. I think it will have to be a resthome in the not too distant future. When he was first diagnosed he said in a very small voice "I dont want to go into a resthome" and I told him I had no intention of putting him into one, though I did add the rider 'unless I need a break'. Well, I am afraid that the break will be permanent if he gets really bad. He gets so frustrated with his problem at times. And bewildered when I point things out to him and remind him of things.
Better get going on some work (not the h word) for the day or I will never get done.

Ann!! How could you!! Go on... rub our noses in it!! But watch it, cos all our noses have dewdrops, it is so cold!! I've got the heating back on!!

Well.... Barry Island was freezing... but the tide was up, so we didn't have to make sandcastles, lol!! We had some chips, and madam went on one of those car thingies...... she wanted off halfway through..... we ambled back to the car, and then went on to my parents... mum had forgotten we were going and had gone out shopping in the village.... we waited with my dad, who turned up at the same time as us (he can't stay in to save his life!!) so we waited. When mum came home, spent a couple of hours there, came home, sorted out madam's dinner, and then she was thrown up to bed, lol, leaving behind three exhausted adults here, and two at my mum's... where do they get their energy from???

R and son are watching football, and I have escaped to my pc room.... on my way to bed!! Although I might wander around and have a look at what is happening on the boards first.

Morning Daff,weather here in the north wet and cool,just been to get a washing up bowl....what a lovely thing to buy ....not.... I Ireally am made for buying perfume and fancy gear, my next buy will prob be a toilet brush lol,
how are you getting on , J goes to the hospital on monday for another test and then maybe a op. so we are a bit on edge,but I do take heart from you and the way you deal with things,puts my worries into perspective, I love to hear all the news about your little one, she sounds a cracker...

My voice is cracked, lol!! I am waiting for the doc to phone me back after surgery..... have a case packed just in case, but don't have a temp... the doc will probably just listen to my chest to make sure no infection sets in... R is hovering over me like a mother hen, lol I am sure I shall be fine though... it is just a cold, and I think my system has recovered enough to deal with that... it's flu that would be more difficult!! Little 'un is absolutely right as rain, now... so four days in the making and four days in the having.... definitely just a cold!!

Little 'un and daddy go home this afternoon.... she is in the shower at the moment wrestling daddy for the hose... she sooooo likes to soak him, lol!! They have just had a brunch, and I am about to make some goodies for the journey... madam should sleep a good part of it, but I wouldn't take any bets, lol... so all her favourite snacky stuff is going in the bag.... kiwi fruit, mango, raw sweet pepper, baby tomatoes (her absolute favourite, lol) yoghurt and... here comes the unhealthy bit.... Quavers, lol!!

Jean, I do hope all goes well for J on Monday.

Anyone seen how Vods is? She had an appointment on the 30th.

Jac, I'd have murdered for your sheepskin coat yesterday... it was sooooo cold... I had a t-shirt, long sleeved jumper, fleece and a kagoule thing with an integral fleece on... I was still cold... oh, and I had the hoods pulled up and tied tightly so now wind could get to my head.... son said I looked a right numpty, lol!! Well, actually, he called me a hoodie, lolol!! Cheeky beggar!

Huia, that is an awful decision to have to make.... but you will know when the right time is. We will be able to put it off for a while, between us, but we know that one day we will have to make that decision... I have vowed that it won't be as a result of an emergency, but as a planned and smoth transition... which will hopefully give us more time to choose the right place and not have to move in quickly.
