lol.
Barbra. I would keel up and die...if we lost our Aussie rules Football.....:>((

Our Footy is seasonal ( A.F.L ) March to Sept ...and i have footy withdrawl symptoms when our spring-summer arrives...Sept to Feb. (sob )

Australia is noted as the sporting capital of the world ( all codes ).....so we as a country would close down without sport......lol

Tony...:>))

G'day Berona and Tony

Better late than never!

Sorry Berona, Barbra scoffed all the wine gums.

Tony, I'm not a sports person so the collapse of any sport, in any part of the world would have no profound effect on myself!

Of course that is taking a very selfish point of view :0))

Football is not just sport in this house....its a religion ( amen )...:>))

Seriously though, i do agree, that some players are paid waaaaaay to much.

Some of my family ( Uncles ) were involved heavily in our Aussie rules ( AFL ), so this had a bearing on my love for sport from a young age. My younger brother played VFL ( Victorian Football Leauge ) as a teenager, along with many of my cousins. My nephews also play ( Aussie rules football )

Me dear ol mother in her 90s now, still watches our game, and when i'm visiting her, she still calls out.. "Kill the bloomin umpire"...when she is not happy with a wrong decision....pmsl
( God bless her little cotton socks )...lol

Allan. I dont think its selfish not to be involved in sport.
Its not everyones cuppa tea.
You either love it, or hate it.

If you "Google"... Bobby Hull
Robert Marvin "Bobby" Hull era b.1939 ( Canadian Ice hockey great )is related to me through my family surname.
We are distant cousins........ when some my Hull family moved from Essex England, to Winnipeg Manitoba during the 1870s

So its Ethic-call for me to love sport.....;>))
