I watched a little of the event that was relayed to Aus, but the sound was a bit out, and it was a tad funny to not have the lips in sinc with the singing. etc

Is it not a coincidence that the us pres. held off the attack on Abbottabad until after this big english event ?

Thankfully most of the heads of govt will now be back in their own lands. there is sure to be some form of reprisal.

all well here, no rain yesterday, though it did look like it coming. today is blue sky again, and the autumn colours are fantastic this year.

Sorry to hear everyone has had major difficulties. maybe the new week brings some comfort to you all.

Son2 is on the roof today, clearing the spouts. with all the leaves starting to fall we need to keep our guttering clean, just in case it does rain soon.
Last night was colder, and my fire went out. so we woke to a cold kitchen. I have just done my vaccuuming, got a load of towels in the wash. So now its cuppa and computer time.

Daughter told me yesterday she has a boyfriend. Apparently this man doesnt mind about her son at all. So there's a change in the air.

I reminded her not to let them meet too early. last time young g'son really liked the man, and then it all fell apart. little boy was very upset and bad behavior for quite a while.

But G'son's father came to visit with him last weekend and took him to the movies. stayed to look after him while my daughter was on night shift. So I had a break for the weekend, which was very nice.
I think they saw that childrens film "Hop". All was calm when it was time for dad to go back.

I've got 2+ day "me" time ............. OH has had to go to a meeting. I was going to go with him, but this horrible codl and cough made me very unwilling to go away. Unofrtunately, that means I miss seeing oru very close friends :((

I can understand you not going away with oh.
when youre not well you probably wouldnt enjoy the visit and just wish to be home.
better not to spread germs to your very close friends either.

Hello to you all, I have just crawled in , have had a virus of some sort I didn't feel too bad yesterday but a little under the weather now .

Sylvia are you feeling any better I still seem to have a tempt. and I must have swalloed a lot of mucas last night felt very yukky earlier.
I am off to have a warm shower and hopefully a little lunch.
I have to be better to-morrow as I start Tutoring a group of singers.

I think I'm on the upswing finally!

chest still congested, so I cna't sleep flat ...... but it may be easier to get comfortable without OH in the bed!


I had the longest spell of sleep last night that I've had since last Tuesday ......... almost 4 hours!



Have you tried putting your ehad over a bowl of boiling water and inhaling the steam. Even add somthing like Vicks Vaporub (or ??? eucalyptus oil) to the water.


That's helped me.

Going back to the original question again......I think since GR changed its site,...that some of the heart has come back.....mind you I haven't been around for a while lol There seems to be a lot more chat (and dare I say it less games interrupting the chat lol)
