Thanks Jules, I had lots of cuddles and fed little man his bottle. He is lovely, a real sweetie and slept most of the visit. For an 8 pounder, I was expecting a hefty baby but he looks small and doesn't feel that heavy, altho he has lost a couple of ounces. He isn't as big as his sister was in size altho she was'only' 7lb 3 when born. Granddaughter was asleep when we arrived at 2.30 as she wakes up when she hears mum or dad up in the night and then won't go back to sleep. She seems ok with the baby tho and was her usual lively self when she did wake, had us in stitches and had her GanGan upstairs playing hide and seek. O.h. couldn't undo the stairgate at the top of the stairs to come down again and said they were calling us saying Help we are stuck but we thought the laughter and shouting was just them having fun lol Help stuck, seemed to be granddaughter's new phrase after that. She was very entertaining and plays nicely on her own some of the time altho does want cuddles too. |

Checked on d.i.l. last evening and she is still feeling bad, ok for a little while in the mornings but flags after lunch. I think she is trying to do too much, the doc told her to rest and more rest. Found out she didn't have an epidural so can't blame the headaches on that, hope she will get well soon |

Thanks, Brenda, granddaughter had a good time bonding with Granddad, he played with her upstairs where her shrieks of laughter didn't go through Mummy's head so much but when she came down, I sent Mummy upstairs to sleep, she was better there than trying to converse with us. She was still asleep when we left, so had a good hour or more. I don't know why her family aren't helping out more, there are enough of them. |
