Dear Genes members,
We'd be really grateful if you could move away from discussing various posts which have request reviewed and removed.
Continuing to discuss these old posts creates unrest on the boards and is really off putting to new members.
Thanks in advance of your help, Rachel, Genes Support.

Dear Rose - I have emailed you via the request review system. Please feel free to email me via support email address.

ChAoTicTheory I thank you for your kind???? comment (I think) :-P :-P :-D :-D

Genes: sometimes we are at a loss as to why one of our posts has been RR'd. Discussion of possible reasons seems to be a natural reaction.

Mine got removed by the Team and was not reported by another member.

I am really tempted to post it again as no mention was made of it being against the T&C's or message board guidelines

Excuse me if I appear to be a bit thick, but "discussing old posts" that have been RRd then replaced seems rather a strange comment to make, when threads go on for years and posts are commented on and added to all of the time. Please tell me if I am missing something.

:-S :-S

I have just sent two emails to GR regarding my removed posts. On one GR email regarding a post which was removed I was accused of being vulgar, profane and/or offensive. I would never intentionally post anything along those lines. I would therefore appreciated it if members could tell me if they where as stated.

I apologise to anyone who found them so but unless anyone tells me how am I to know where I went so horribly wrong.

TootyFruity unless you sneaked in a post containing the whole script of an episode of Mrs Brown's Boys when I wasn't looking, I didn't see you post anything that could be described that way .

If that's directed at me IGP, I can assure you I did not see any profanity...unless it came after my last posting, if you doubt the reasons why MY posts were removed I am happy to furnish you with the emails sent to me direct from Rachel for your perusal.

I get very concerned when it seems that a post has been reported just because it is expressing an opposite view to either the OP, or to someone else who has been posting on the thread.

Or one that seems to have been reviewed solely because the poster is disliked by another member.

It is all to easy to pick a suitable reason from that drop down list, or make up a reason to put in the 'Other" category.

Reporting a post that is expressing an opposing view , or because a person is disliked, is simply not on .................... it's discriminatory AND also against any ideas of free speech, and democracy.

I have NOT had a post RR'd on here .............. but I did have 2 posts RR'd and then removed on another thread between Sunday and Monday

The reason given by GR for one removal was ..............

......... it breaches the following message board guideline:

3. Your general conduct

Please do not post anything might appear intimidating to other Members.

Please do not communicate material that deviates from the topic of the message board thread - start a new topic if you'd like to.

I've appealed of course ............... and been told nothing can be done :-(
