Did anyone go to the Scottish dancing in Princess Gardens in the summer think it was on a Sat. We used to go it was such fun with anyone and everyone getting up half of the folks not knowing what to do (all the tourists) it was a laugh. Do they still have the Band Stand there and do they have the dancing?? :-D :-D

OneFootInTheGrave Report 14 Aug 2013 14:04

I can remember as a child watching the Highland Dancing in the bandstand area of Princess Street Gardens and when I lived in Edinburgh I used to love walking through Princess Street Gardens, I would spend ages looking at the Floral Clock :-)

I also used to enjoy going up Scott's Monument, well that was until the early 1980's when I had to help my scaffolders secure some scaffolding boards that had come loose in gale force winds, believe me when I say it is quite scary being perched precariously on scaffolding 200 feet above the ground - I never went up Scott's Monument again :-(

Soor Face last time I saw him

:-(

All talk of "poor me", especially his childhood. He's the youngest, and he was spoilt ROTTEN!

GlasgowLass

GlasgowLass Report 14 Aug 2013 14:50

I've got a younger brother who sounds quite similar.... spoiled rotten and sooooo selfish!

I'm amazed at the response I've about our dog (pic on left).

We were going to call him Doug...... but when we noticed his markings, we decided to call him Dick :-D

GlasgowLass Report 14 Aug 2013 15:03

I forgot to mention your dog.
Left my specs in the car and could not make out that Avi at all.
I honestly thought I was looking at a cow's face!

When I got my specs back, it still took me a while to see but LOL, I love your Wee Dick! <3 <3

LadyScozz Report 14 Aug 2013 15:10

Another one!

Most people thought he was a cow or a horse!

There must be some very skinny-faced animals in the UK :-D
