John,
on the news this morning they were talking about plans to build a viewing platform on the top of that (Forth Railway) Bridge - just imagine what the view from that would be like!

Potty - in the 1980's I worked for a scaffolding firm in Edinburgh, at that time they supplied and installed the cradles used for painting the bridge - I have been up there a few times, it is a beautiful view, but going up there is not for the faint-hearted ;-)

How's the toe Scozz... sounds ouchy <3 <3

As a child, I honestly thought the trains went up and down, up and down....
First time I saw a train on the Forth Rail Bridge....I was absolutely... GUTTED!!

LadyScozz Report 27 Aug 2013 23:32

lol Thankyou for your concern about my toe :-D

It's changed to a nice shade of purple.

I forgot to say........... after the big dog stood on my toe, his mother wanted to say hello...... and she jumped on my leg....... I've also got a bruise on my thigh!

I bruise easily! The daughter dog wasn't well, she was limping ....... maybe her mum & brother jumped on her too. She didn't jump on me.

They're lovely dogs, very good natures, but they're BIG & look scary. The boy dog has decided he is my protector. If a stranger comes around the dog runs over here and stands between me and the stranger. I don't think he'd ever do anything, but he's letting strangers know that he's around. I'm not objecting one little bit.

A woman goes to the Doctor in Glasgae

She’s, worried about her husband's temper and threatening manner.

The Doc asks: "What's the problem, Janet?”

"Weeell Doctor Pat, I dinae know what to doo. Every time ma hubbie comes home drunk, he threatens to slap me aroond."

The Doctor says: "Aye, well.. I have a real good cure for that.

When your husband arrives home intoxicated, just take a wee glass of water and start swishing it in your mooth. Just swish and swish but dinna swallow it until he goes to bed and is soond asleep."

Two weeks later she comes back to the doctor looking fresh and reborn. She says: "Doctor that was brillyant! Evrae time ma hubbie came home drunk, I swished with the water. I swished an' swished, and he didnae touch me even once!

Tell me Doc... wha's the secret? Hoo's does the water do that?"

The Doctor says: "Janet hen, it's really nae big secret. The water doos bugger all - it's keeping your mooth shut that doos the trick."

Off tomorrow for 3 weeks up the West coast with a stop off in Braemar for the Gathering. If your up that way and see a large motorhome with a grumpy, bearded driver, a rather chubby front seat passenger and two black and white collies, give us a wave.

Fingers crossed the weather stays dry!
