Huia, we are in the same predicament re our 14 yo dog. He still likes to get involved, but with severe arthritis and allergies finds hills and car rides a challenge, not to mention the steps to the outside. Anytime in the next few weeks, maybe months. It's hard to make those descisions on their behalf - I really sympathise. I'm enjoying your thread - thanks! Michael

We visited the vet 3 & half hrs ago. No more dog and cat. Their quality of life was very poor due to age. Just eating and sleeping.

Yes Viv, you have got it/them. Hadnt noticed the 1st and 3rd on my map before. I was thinking of OIO which the old train guards used to call Nought Ten. I am off to town today, wont be back for about 14 hrs. Any time you all feel you have exhausted the Os or are fed up with them feel free to move on to P.
