Hi Jenny, Please could you add which Group number Gaynor Bear is in when you put where she is? That will make it easier for those of us who need to count on our fingers to tell how many Groups to go before we get her! Thank you. CB >|< (... and NO! I'm not joking!)

I am waiting to start my new venture, Gaynor's Squares. But would really like to get all the Mini Gaynor bears sent out asap before doing so. Can all those that asked for mini GB's please let me know if they still want them. If you have already contacted me about the ones you have reserved, there is no need to reply to this message. Thanks Jenny x

Hi Jenny Group 6 kicks off with Julie Fen Tiger in Wisbech and then goes on to Kings Lynn, Norwich, Yarmouth, Haverhill, Newmarket, Cambridge and then on into Essex and finally leaving Chelmsford to go to Group 7. Can't be more exact about the route until we know definate dates but we do plan to be as quick as possible for the benefit of the groups following us. Daisy

Daisy, Thank you for your update, much appreciated. Do I take it you have members in the places mentioned. Eg Norwich, Yarmouth, Haverhill. If so when you have time, can you let me have their names please. Thanks Jenny. x

PART 1. Hello everyone in the Gaynor Bear Relay. It has come to my attention that some members are concerned, that members are loosing interest in the GB Relay. Also that Co-ordinators of Groups are not getting replies from some members, after numerous emails, asking if they still wish to take part. If you are in touch with the Co-ordinator of your group, this does not apply to you. But if you are down to take part, and have not been in touch with your Co-ordinatior for some time, can you please let them know if you still wish to take part. This is most important, if the relay is to carry on. Please can all co-ordinators let me know if they have any problems whatsoever, and I will do my utmost to help. I am finding it very hard to follow those that are posting on here and on the relay thread. Please use this thread as much as possible. Some members cannot get onto the MSN site and are loosing track of where GB is and what is is going on. Thank you all. Jenny xx Can all members of the Gaynor Bear Relay, please check with their Co-ordinators before making any plans to do certain things with Gaynor Bear. In some cases, it just may not be possible for you to have her for more than a day, if the next person in the leg of your group has to take her the same day or next day. Concerning Group 8. Group 8 is causing a little concern. It has by far, the biggest number of members taking part. Also loads of famous attractions, that Camberwell Beauty is trying to organise visits to. Although CB is spending a lot of her time on her Group 8 and has it nearly all organised, she is having problems getting replies from some members who said they could possibly take part in the South of London. If these members could please reply she would be very grateful. If you are in touch with CB then that is fine, you need not contact her at present. CB has been worried, because most of her members shall be going away on their holidays during August. Yes, I do realise this is the case in other groups. She really needs members to let her know dates when they are not going to be available. We also have to take into consideration that August is going to be very hot, and transport will be jamed packed with tourists, in and around London. So I have stuck my neck out and said that if CB makes plans for Gaynor Bear to being with her in the whole of September. This gives June, July and August for the smaller Groups 4,5,6,7. Concerning the London Eye. Although I have not been told personally about this plan. I would like to know, if any of the members who have said they would like to be at the London Eye event that is being arranged, have also put their name forward for the Group 8. If this is the case, are they still prepared to take part in the GB Relay also? We really do need to know. To all Groups. It has also come to my attention, that someone is planning to take GB away on holiday with them. I do not not how true this is, but if it is the case, I am sorry but it will not be allowed. I do hope I have not offended anyone by my message. As we all know on these boards, it is very awkward to put into words what one trys to get across without sounding a bit OTT. I really do appreciate all that is being done to keep this Relay going, and thank you all for your efforts. But I need to know what is being planned and kept up to date. Thank you for taking the time to read my last two rather lengthy messages. Jenny xxx

This is what Dawn has to go on so far. Which she sent me earlier. Have just spoken to Kirsty. She is hoping to pick up from Sarah on the 12th. Sarah is on holiday soon until 11th. Kisrty says she is waiting to hear from Julie, to pass on to her in Stourbridge or Merry Hill, either Sunday or Monday evening. We really do need to keep each other informed. Please use this thread for all to see. Then everyone will know what is what. Can anyone tell me why Margaret has GB till Friday? Is it because there is no earlier day suitable for both to meet up? Dawn you mention Iz may take GB to the Potteries in your message. Surely GB will not be near the Potteries by this time? So far is as follows Margaret passes to Lou on Friday in Loughborough Lou- Andy on Sat 4th Andy to Linda Sun 5th Linda to Liz Thurs/Fri 9/10 Liz to Sarah 12th (at the Gingerbread Man Pub) Sarah to Kirsty 12th Kirsty to Julie Julie to Ros Ros to Jacky Jacky to Gwynne fri 17th although trains are on strike so if affects Gwynnes train may have to change day/plans Gwynne to Claire 20th Claire to Iz Iz to Dawn on Fri 24th at Fire Station

Jenny.... am I being dim? I thought you weren't letting groups keep hold of her for so long as it would lose momentum for the other groups waiting to take her? Just asking as I know a few groups are losing participants because of the delay!

Hi Jenny, Had a chat with our MP this morning. He's an ex-cancer sufferer himself and is very happy to help with the GB Relay. He's going to arrange for us to get her into at least the grounds of the Houses of Parliament for photos. For obvious reasons, security will dictate if she's allowed inside. Also got some useful press contacts from one of our local Councillors, so things are moving at last. CB >|< X

Jules. Phoned Kirsty earlier, she is not in. Will try again in a bit. But I know Monday 13th will be fine, once traffic has died down. Let me know what part of Stourbridge, Merry Hill or surrounding areas you know. Jenny. x
