Gaynor Bear is now in Solihull. She is resting at the moment. My daughter and I met Ros and Bob in Stratford upon Avon and had a walk around the town. We took GB to the Cancer Research shop and we bought her a pink wrist band. We went to the Teddy Bear Museum where we bought a postcard and the lady gave GB a badge (now attached to her badge hat). GB saw Shakespeare's Theatre (I think she is too young to appreciate it), went for a walk along the canal and saw long boats and stopped for a while to look at the baby swans. GB has written her diary for today and is now comfortable in my husband's big armchair snuggled with Liz my daughter and they are getting on great as they both like Pink! Liz wants GB to wear her pink winnie the pooh knickers tomorrow! Off tomorrow to meet Gwynne in Birmingham. Jacky :-) PS Gwynne - The bag isn't too bad and is like a small flight bag and not too uncomfortable on the shoulder.

Gaynor had a lovely morning with Labyrinth theatre group. She also enjoyed a pub lunch with some of us at Wetherspoons. She had a little nap this afternoon and we have just taken her to Auntie Claire's house. She's going to have a busy day tomorrow so I expect she'll have an early night. Gwynne

Good morning from Gaynor Bear! Thank you Auntie Gwynne for bringing her to me. She DID have an early night in preparation for the Coventry Fun Run tomorrow. She has had cereal for breakfast (needs the carbs) and will be taking on plenty of fluids as it is going to be hot. (I will remind her to wear her hat). Claire xx GB did not actually do the run in the end as it was far too hot so she lent her support from the sidelines. We met up with Iz and met the radio presenter from Kix 96 local radio. GB is now looking forward to visiting Iz's school. I have added a coulpe of pics on the MSN site. :o)

I am pleased to announce the total amount raised for 'The Pink Fund' due to the sale of the mini Gaynor Bears. I have a few bears left, waiting payment. I am sure they will go eventually, so I am presuming I shall have sold all 150. £150.00 from the bears sold. Plus an extra £305.00 in extra donations from all you lovely people. Total raised from the sale of the Bears. £455.00. A list of all those that sent extra money, will be sent to Pink along with the cheque. Only Pink and myself will know who sent what. If anyone wants to check with Pink, that their extra donation has been included, please feel free to do so. Thank you all so much for buying a bear, and all your extra pennies. You have been so generous. Love Jenny. xxxxx

Dawn, flight on the Dragonfly???? Explain please. Jenny.

Dawnieher3headaches

Dawnieher3headaches Report 21 Jun 2005 18:45

Jenny Sons schools emblem is a Dragonfly. Last year they had erected out the front a Dragonfly thats made out of metal and glass, J.R.Tolkeins grandson helped build it and as Lord of the Rings was big at the time it took a lot longer to do than expected as he had all the publicity stuff to do for the films. When I was in school on Friday with deputy head sorting out PTA meeting asked if I could take pictures of GB on it, so she will go on it after school. If shes been good may even let her take her little GBS with her. As she can't be with me on Monday she has waiting here for her Sons cub pack necker and woggle so she has become an honory cub as well. Dawn

Thanks for the explanation Dawn. Have fun on Friday with all those firemen. Wish I could be with you. Could you possibly get a photo of GB clinging to the pole, just for me please. I can remember going to a party at Aldridge Fire Station when I was about 20yrs old. What a night we had. I actually went down the pole. Oh, for the good old days. Lol. Jenny. xx
