Trying to find out who the father of an Ann Hurst may be. She married Thomas duxbury in 1844 at Emanuel church in oswaldtwistle . It says she was of age when married which may mean 21 ish. This would make her born possibly around 1823. Her husband was probably born in rishton....father John duxbury .
Ann,s dad was deceased on her marriage ....but rumour has it she was also known as Ann fish. Not sure where this came from. Can . Anyone help with any ideas?

Thanks for all the info. It's a tough one because I don't know Anne,s dad's name or which John duxbury is Thomas,s dad either. And not sure if the 1851 census is correct for their ages which makes Ann born 1813 or wether it's the 1819 date. I've been trying to get to the bottom of these two for years and never get past this. :-S

Thomas died in Burnley. Around 1890. He committed suicide . From what I remember Ann had died . I have looked for her on the 1841 census and not found her. Thomas,s dad was a John duxbury weaver supposedly born Rishton. I have never found a baptism for Thomas as yet. :-S

Think Ann died in Burnley in 1866, think Thomas was living towards colne with son maybe james or Richard ...think james on the 1871. If that's correct Ann it makes her born around 1815 as it says she was 48.
