Still there in 1948 - with your mother's names reversed, which doesn't help the search.

You wouldn't show on the electoral roll Olive as you were not old enough to vote at that time.

I wondered if you knew much about Frederick's father (the one married to Mary A. E Whitts). It seems that he was also knows as 'Thompson' and I wondered why as I couldn't see an obvious reason.

The records are on Ancestry - found by putting in the names and trawling through the results

Yes I noticed that about Frederick John Bowler born 1883 Wycombe Buckinghamshire On His Army Papers WW1

But I have no idea why he gave that name
As far as I know he only married Maryann Emma Whitts born 1884 Reading

His Father was Henry Bowler born Wycombe 1845 and his Mother was Deborah Bailey born Princess Risborough 1846

Next time I go to the local Library Hucknall I will try that on Ancestry Electoral Rolls

Just one thing their son Ronald Edwin Bowler and his Wife Olive Jane bowler (nee Stiff)were living with them on 1949Register at 315 Beechwood Road Luton beds

But they did live in Luton also at Thurlstone Road
I wonder where they went after that
I know they moved to Braintree Essex

It has been quite an interesting morning

I wonder where they were living between 1948 to 1953 ?.?

I know they married in Luton 1947/1948 and moved to Braintree later on
