I am now drowning in Scullions (born in Ballyscullion ! ), not sure which Maurice is which. Oh why did they have to keep recycling names? The census returns list such differing dates of birth its getting difficult to know which is senior and which is junior.

On Annie's marriage certificate to Peter Kelly in 1916, her father Maurice is listed as Farmer - would he be retired weaver in 1911, or shipyard labourer in 1891?

Yes, I think that is Annie and James's son as he died in Uphall and his death registration shows mmn Scullion.

If you search for deaths of Scullions mmn Scullion, you can probably work out which births between 1902 and 1911 are James and Annie's children.

Yes, I think the occupations are OK for Maurice senior. I suspect he maybe had a small holding / Croft and eked out a living by weaving as well. I think a lot of the Irish farmers were more what we would call crofters today.
