Good news that the op took less time than expected and went so well. I hope Katie will make wonderful progress now and soon be home with her loving family.

Katie ok they finding it hard to ventilate her she has tube in her side to drain blood but that been clamped .result on lung sample can take 2 to 10 days.When searching they took sample from middle loop they said her lungs stiff and very frothy and not what they have come across before .she is on 3 lots of drugs to paralize her to ensure she getting the rest needed. the tube in side has now been clamped so must not be much there .she is very puffy and swollen at min. Later 2day she is having steroids and another medicine which is a treatment for various lungs .they not prepared to wait for results need treating as she getting worse as days go by xx

I have been offline for several days so am only just catching up. What a terrible time these little ones are having. I'm keeping Katie and Esme and their families in my thoughts and hoping that both babes start making rapid improvements.
