Renes and Jax dont leave you will be missed.

Its time GR listened to our comments before they lose all the people who actually make this site :-|

I spent hours yesterday and this morning reading Evelyns post and did make a post but so far no one has came back to it so dont know if it was a workable idea or not.

and you are not getting rid of me either :-D :-D :-D :-D

I only renewed at the beginning of this month. :-D

I MIGHT however change my mind if the proposed colour change shown in the makeover goes through as is

I could not use this site for more than about 5 minutes at a time if they do not change it.

Hi Linda

peace and quiet is lovely!

I do miss the tornado though!

If not his parents :-D

It will be our 45th next month.

We decided not to give each other gifts (it's Sapphire ....... and I have several sapphire pieces of jewellry, including my engagement ring)

Instead we are going to check an item off our "want to do" bucket list

only we will have to do it next year, as we were too late to book this year.

We want to go to Churchill on Hudson Bay to see the polar bears before they leave on the sea ice. That's usually mid-October-ish on.

We would go by train (anyone surprised?? :-D ), and organise our own trip onto the ice through one of the companies up there

..................... and will start looking at booking before the end of this year.

You have to book 6-9 months ahead to get the dates that you want ........... I started looking early last May, and that was too late.

We could get the train booking OR the trip booking ......... but not in the same week!

I am over-whelmed by that spread Sylvs..........thank you but I don't know where to start.

Hmmm......maybe at THIS end of the table perhaps.....?

or THIS end?

or the middle?

Oh, what the heck.........

just dive in......

Yummmmmmmmm :-D :-D <3

Now then Gins? Just which 'old bird' were you referring to earlier? Hm?

When I think about it...

Nope, not going to think about!

I'm going to hang on in too. For under £10 a year I think it's worth it for the hassle.......er.......friendships on here! :-P I know we meet on the dark side but I still like helping when I can too.

Had better go and am hoping OH will be okay to go you-know-where. :-S

Dea

Dea Report 22 Jul 2012 07:54

Wow Sylvs - I don't know how you get the time to make all this lovely food !!!!

I will just have the garlicky potatoes with lots of bacon please as I will be eating lunch for the whole day ;-)

That idea of choosing something from a 'want to do' list sounds like a good one - we too have given up buying each other presents so I might well start a list for us.

Thanks Sylvia <3

Linda

Linda Report 22 Jul 2012 12:56

Sylvia
The trip to Hudson Bay sound lovely shame you couldn't get booked for this year. Your list is a great idea how long is it?

Gins - No sun here either just rain :-(

Dea

Dea Report 22 Jul 2012 13:46

Are you there Jonesey ?? (Or some other 'computer person) ?? ;-)

My computer used to go to 'Power save' or something similar when I didn't do anything for a little while but for the past 3 nights it has stayed on my 'desktop screen' all night.

I managed to find a 'screen saver thingy' yesterday but can you tell me where I look to get it back to doing the 'power save' thing and closing down the screen ?

Cynthia

Cynthia Report 22 Jul 2012 15:14

You could google for advice Dea....or even look on YouTube. Someone, somewhere is bound to have the answer......but.....'taint me :-D

What do you mean it's supposed to be hot? It IS hot - the sun is blazing down. Have just had half an hour out there and come back inside. Don't want to damage my fair skin now do I?? It's a lovely day...honest!

Jonesey

Jonesey Report 22 Jul 2012 15:28

Dea,

Unfortunately I do not have an answer for you but by way of consolation you are not alone.

My computer does exactly the same. I have my screen saver set to blank the screen after 10 minutes of inactivity and in most instances that is exactly what it does but every once in a while it doesn't. Never overnight however as I always close my computer before retiring for the night.

I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Dea

Dea Report 22 Jul 2012 15:29

Thanks Jonesey !! - I will sort it tomorrow !!! <3 ;-)

Dea

Dea Report 22 Jul 2012 15:52

OOOOerrrr !!!!

I don't think that I have anything 'vibrating' anymore ! - Near my PC or otherwise !!! ;-) :-0 :-D
