strange

I wonder if they have different things for different countries???

They were pits here for a number of years through the 80s and 90s .........

items bought before that or after about 1995 have been much better!

Much better built, built of better materials, longer lasting, reasonably priced.

I certainly wouldn't have Ikea items as my main furnishings .................. we still have teak bought in the late 60s .............. but have been happy with chests of drawers for use in the study or in the family room.

I do love their 100% cotton sheets, pillow cases and duvet covers ................ buy their top line, and they are comfortable, and weer and wear.

They all came back about 10 minutes ago

3 of them are now sleeping!

They had a huge blue Ikea bag full of "stuff"!

OH bought a chocolate bar!

He said he was glad that I had not gone ............... they had to park a long way from the entrance door, and the arrows on the floor did the usual. Led you all over the place before getting you to where you wanted to be.

That's good marketing strategy of course!!!

He's going to scope it out a bit more, and find the short cuts.

Plus we often go only to the Food Shop .......... now that is also very good :-D

Does anyone else have this problem on here?

When I come onto the site and my home page shows up the little moving circle that uploads your tree doesn't!

It just keeps moving I can get onto my tree by clicking on the Family Tree button its just annoying.

Any ideas?

Gins
re that thread you posted may be way off mark but cant the poster check with the library in the area and see if they have any papers, valuation rolls etc cos if he was a Squire then you would think he may have had land /property etc.

Just a thought

Dea, if I had known you liked barm cakes so much, I would have bought some 'bin lids' in.....this is what the VERY large barm cakes are called round here!

I quite like looking round Ikea but, as Gins says, I wouldn't want a house furnished with the stuff. I like their bits and bobs sections.

Funny sort of day. Started out to you-know-where, but OH didn't feel too good. His balance was dodgy and it made him quite unstable. Don't know if it's to do with the Parky's or whether it's a middle ear prob. He had the same about a month ago and, like today, it disappeared with a few hours and all is back to normal. Well, as normal as we will ever be I spose.. :-D

So, I didn't get to go you-know-where and it feels most peculiar :-S

I did some 'tree' work to distract myself..... ;-)
